So then you agree, some fighters need the scales tipped in their favor to win. Not, it is what it is, but yes, some fighters need to have particular advantages to win.

You're doing the same thing Serge. You and all the Canelo haters have already "filled out your cards" and will cry for years about how Saunders got robbed, unless he gets KTFO, in which case you'll all be blaming the ring size.

    It works both ways.

nothing of the sort can be proven. it just means the challenger just cant beat the man at his game. nothing canelo asks for is unreasonable for the fighter in his position, its his show. just like floyd, oscar, leonard, etc...castillo, floyd and duran were good enough to show the world what they were about, even in those less than ideal circumstances. the rerson this is getting the play its getting, is that we already know what bjs is all about.

Did I miss something in the last 24 hours... wasn't the issue that Canelo changed the ring size from 24 ft to 18ft?
From memory, anything below 20 ft is typically used for amateur boxing, not a world-class title fight.

Take the 'running' out of the equation, if the above is correct, that is moving the goal posts to weigh the fight in Canelo's favour.
We all know BJS isn't a KO artist, of course he's going to box. Canelo is considered a big puncher, so why, as a light puncher would we all of a sudden expect BJS to stand and trade with Canelo.

You 'fans' ought to watch boxing with 2 eyes open some time.

Canelo says 22 feet no problem. He's going to make him pay anyway

Nah, it doesn't work both ways at all. I don't support fighters who only have to make it to the final bell to get their hands raised, say no to neutral judges or their opponent having just one home one, and refuse to fight on a level playing field, and I don't perform all manner of mental gymnastics to defend the completely indefensible and act like a fighter wanting a level playing field or a more level one is unreasonable.

A fighter wanting a home judge when facing Clenelo of all people ie. the poster boy for corruption for the sport who has a long history of not only having the judges in their pocket and receiving numerous gifts from them which are widely considered robberies/scandalous robberies worldwide but who also has a long history of outrageously wide scorecards being scored in their favour is unreasonable??! Jesus wept!

Why should he. Canelo has spent his career working hard and taking big challenges. Saunders has spent his career avoiding big fights and getting fat in between fights. No one owes Saunders ANY favors.

Canelo has made judges fill out theirs already. It's not about the Canelo haters. The 'haters' are just pointing out the pure corruption that goes on in the sport. And ginger is part of it.

i would suggest people study more boxing. understand what that extra 2 feet actually means. how much difference will a 5% increase in floor space make in the grand scheme of things. how big of a determining factor is this compared to lets say, skills, experience, etc...

An even playing field means the standard for everything, is the same for everyone. Like football, soccer, basketball. All dimensions and rules are the same in every single game. When one fighter can command who wears what gloves, what size ring, etc, he’s doing so to gain the upper hand. Every boxing fan knows of the fight before the fight. It’s ok to admit our favorite fighters do this. Most fighters just don’t make noise about it. Boxing has never been a sport “played on an even playing field”. Never will be. No shame in admitting that. But don’t act like any of our favorites don’t benefit from these types of advantages. Because if they didn’t, they wouldn’t fight so hard to have them.
