That is true, not good that fighters are risking others lives by using PEDS, Wild boar or mexican beef.

it absolutely boggles my mind how posters can curse fighters to hell that they dont like, for being cheats, while simultaneously praising their favorite cheat as a paragon of righteousness. who does statements like those actually describe? who is really showing their true colors in that situation?

So you’re saying fighters don’t have advantages when they make opponents use certain gloves and have certain ring sizes?

I’m speaking generally. Not just this particular fight. Boxing is and has never been a sport that has been on an even playing field. People try to justify it with a side b side bs. I totally get that aspect of the sport. But in this thread you will see people saying so and so doesn’t deserve this while so and so does deserve this because he did this. All I’m saying is that it’s ok to say one guy fought for, in negotiations, particular circumstances that favor him. And again, it’s not just about this fight but boxing as a whole. This would all be squashed with a standard across the board for everyone, with everything from gloves, to ring size to testing to refs and judges. But again, that will never happen but it’s silly to pretend these advantages for certain fighters based on their drawing power in the sport, don’t exist.

This is what I was also thinking, my first gym was about a 12 foot ring and a lot of the movers were still able to work, and they’re not BJS, this all has to be a joke

Pretty cut and dried at this point. He says the issue is resolved.

    :applaudit: thank you!

What this thread does is highlights the issue with the sport and the 'fans' that will forever mask the issues with their agendas and bias.

Put it into context, we have people saying "BJS is a coward" and "BJS isn't the A-side" even if it was Canelo that changed the rules after the fact. And then you flip the script, and we have people saying "Canelo is a cheat", where as, for all we know BJS may now be changing the ring size...

I do laugh that there have been numerous posts claiming that Canelo can change the rules because he is the A-side though. It really doesn't provide any merit in the other claims around his reputation from years gone by. The excuses are now supporting what they thoroughly denied.

What? Stop reaching for things to spark controversy about. Yes, BJS failed a test for a 'drug' that is commonly found in over-the-counter pre-workout powders. Just like Canelo was popped for 'tainted beef' commonly found in Mexico.

I never excused BJS for his failed test, nor will I.

but that part isnt fair. it may appear fair, depending on what you wish things to be, but not in the way things actually are. boxing is sports entertainment, it isnt the olympics. you sell a performance, people pay to watch that performance. if you cant sell, you dont change boxing to accommodate you, you accommodate the business or stick to the amateurs.

no, you just never miss a chance to call canelo a cheat. how many times have you called bjs a cheat? fury? show me how you arent one of these hypocrites who include only certain fighters in their rants about fairness, while completely ignoring other names.

No I'm not saying that. What I'm saying is if Fighter A demands Winning, and Fighter B demands Cleto reyes, then the fighter with more leverage will likely get his way... such is life, and Allah wept.
