Another thing is that it wouldn’t shock me if Saunders wanted to turn on the mindgames and come in overweight. Don’t think the belt really bothers him. And if he loses a few quid from coming over I think he’d take that to boost his chances of winning. Would be another little tactic to get into Canelo’s head. One to keep an eye on.

Let us not forget he came in against Adamu at light heavy when he was supposed to be a middle. He’s an embarrassment. The heavier he is the worse he gets. His best chance of winning would be to come in extremely light, which he hasn’t got the discipline for.

Well this 100% isn’t happening Lol no offence mate but what would Saunders gain from coming in over? He isn’t a super middleweight at all, The lighter the better for him.

Well clearly the advantage would be that he would carry more power. It’s usually all mental when any fighter comes in over. It’s disrespect towards the opponent who has killed himself to make weight and that’s where the edge lies more than anything.

Saunders is already in career best shape right now.

at least Billy Joe wants to win. Unlike Callum Smith who spent the whole build up thanking Canelo and saying how great he is and then celebrating with him after getting KOd

I hear Adam Smith got very excited when he heard BJS and his team wanted to forcibly increase the size of Canelo's ring.

You’re just talking generally though, these 2 aren’t killing themselves one bit to make weight - if Saunders comes in overweight I’d assume Canelo would just laugh.

That's fair enough but let's see how bully performs first eh..he could get iced in the first few rounds or pull a quit job, anything could happen.if he gives Canelo a run for his money I'll give him props even though I can't stand him.

I think Ryder would be game but hit consistently.

Would not surprise me either, but I think the extra weight would be a disadvantage for him. He needs his speed and an engine to have any chance.

Saunders most current interview with ifl is laughable.

"I trained in a 24ft ring so I will expected the fight to be on a 24ft ring". Really is that the best argument you have.

Not forgetting no ring in a UK fight can be over 20ft as the brtish boxing board of control doesn't allow it.

Saunders has never fought in a ring bigger than 20ft (unless the lemiux fight was in a bigger ring) so where this nonsense about a 24ft ring comes from I have no idea.

An 18ft ring would have been slightly smaller than the ring BJS fought in last time out vs Murray.
