Bowe never fought any punchers in his career, and struggled against fighters with good jabs. Bowe was also very hittable and had no defence. I think Bruno does better than he's being given credit for, i can see Bruno being ahead on points out jabbing and rocking Bowe few times in the fight. Until a brave Bruno is eventually stopped between 8-10. But Bruno would be a live underdog in this fight due to his power, we never really see Bowe tested against a legit power puncher, apart from Hide who was a blown up Cruiserweight.
Correct. Big Frank for all his failing s, still had heart and would try and beat Bowe . Bowe would be pushed here no doubt.
Bruno is much maligned & unfairly ridiculed & this fight would have been potentially tough for Bowe, i figure Bruno's jab & physical strength would trouble Bowe early on with him having to show some composure & survive a few early scares, his class showing somewhere during the middle rounds as Bruno's stamina falters & being stopped on his feet around the 8th, good fight while it lasts though.
Very bad matchup for Bruno. Bowe would beat him down relatively quickly. Possibly faster than Tyson. Bowe had greater height and reach than Tyson, but also was relentless, powerful, and was busy and aggressive, which meant it would have been even harder for Bruno to clinch and keep him off.
Actually Bowe struggled against a good jab, and had all he could handle vs other Tyson victims like Tubbs, Biggs, who both extended him into 2nd half of the fight. So I think Bruno matches up fairly well against Bowe, and I fail to see how Bowe would stop Bruno quicker than Tyson, infact Bruno would be arguably be one of the best opponents hes ever fought outside of Holyfield. And certainly the biggest puncher hes ever fought.
I wouldn't call him an ATG TBH, I'd say very good to low tier great. When I think of ATGs I think of Lewis, Tyson, Holmes, Ali, Louis etc. Bowe is not up to them resume wise not even close.
