FINAL POLL: Santos Saúl Álvarez Barragán Vs. Billy Joe Saunders

Nobody can beat Canelo by decisions except Floyd Mayweather Jr. So, BJS can't expect to beat Canelo by hit and run style. It's not gonna work.

 

Was Kovalev winning that fight up until he was stopped? Saunders doesn’t hit hard enough to keep canelo on the end of his jab for 12 rounds. I’m going canelo ud 8-4

 

I've seen strange occurrences in the Wranger's recent fights. Kovalev, a shell of his once powerful self, fights without his real jab. Canelo fans claiming it was the advanced counterpunching, but, if you actually KSAB you will know that power jab ensures there are no counters. Then Callum comes out and blows, ffs the guy's record and performances up to that point were in complete contradiction. We can accept Canelo is PEDed to the gills and the judges are on his side.

All I can say is there is an extremely high likelihood that Canelo will win.

 

I think if on honest cards yeah and clear.
However Kovalev had performed vs Yarde not that well, he barely survived 2 rounds in this fight and if Yarde had better gas tank and wasn't tired in next round after these, then I think Kovalev had been stopped by Yarde in distance. Ok, he won this one, I'm not sure he might had won also rematch vs Yarde if this had happened.
Kov had get impressive looking and harsh beat up from Eleider Alvarez in their 1 st fight. He won rematch by clear UD, still reality had to be pointed out.
If Kovalev lost attention level full 100% he then was vulnerable even for not well known boxers.

 

I had to pick Canelo by Robbery, just because that was an option. But I think he beats him fair and square.
If Billy outboxes him though, expect that robbery... Saunders isn't leaving with the belts.

I want BJS to win, but he will have his work cut out for him. For all his douchiness Canelo is a fine fighter.
If GGG didn’t get the decision after winning 17 of 24 rounds by my count I don’t see BJS having much luck there
Said robbery as cards probably pre filled due to BJS having no real chance of KO Alvarez

 

If he was some version with more power, he might had KOed Canelo.
Work vs his body and liver with a glance.
This is reason why Ginger did not had picked up Gvozdyk or 30-35 y.o Beterbiev and insetead of this he picked up Kovalev who had less chances to stop him in distance than Yarde or E. Alwarez.

If BJS will risk with any thing and go to his floating ribs, liver and spelnum, lol even hands with a glance, he might KO him and then there might appear Canelo clauses and rematches until clenelo special hometown horsemeat will win this one.
Clenelo kid also wrongly had picked up Floyd Jr and earlier one journeyman where he had get a draw in this fight.
By using natural juice and natural horsemeat together with natural beef meat Clenelo in hometown had been still God in tickets selling and Clen champ for his fans.

 

Saunders wins by cut stoppage in the 8th.

BJS by decision.

He's the toughest stylistic fight I can envision.

 

My scorecard: 114-114.

Theirs: 117-111, 116-112, 114-114.

 

This should be a good fight, 115-113 either way probably.

Will go all 12, don't see Canelo getting a KO.
I don't think it would be a wise move to push for the KO either.... Canelo needs to corner BJS fight him inside, take his Jab away.

I just watched Eubank vs BJS again, and BJS definitely looked like he has holes in his game on the inside. Yes I know this fight is old. But if people are gonna say "elusive southpaws" give Canelo problems. Why not bring up Eubank vs BJS.

Hopefully the judges don't truck up the fight.

Honestly I'll be going for Canelo, but would DEFINITELY give saunders his due if he wins... Even if it's just on my scorecard.

I think Canelo wins a decision and deservedly.

I see BJS starting out fast and winning 2 out of the first 3 rounds or maybe all 3.

Then from arounfd the 4th Canelo starts to read him and dominate, and wins 7 out of the next 9 rounds.

So I think that Canelo wins 8 rounds to 12, so something like a 116-112 win.

Canelo will land the bigger punches, he will outwork BJS from round 4 onwards.
