There's already talk/rumors of this fight taking place late this year or next. Really surprised nobody has mentioned that.

Billy Joe is a very good fighter in his own right, but also a stylistic nightmare for Canelo and Canelo is still the overwhelming favourite.

Thats a scary thought for the division. Prime Canelo does seem unbeatable at this weight and with the current crop of fighters.

The only guy I give a very good chance @ 175 or below is Beterbiev and even then I would pick Canelo.

Beterbiev is made to order stylistically for Canelo. Its only the brute strength and power that makes me think he has a good chance.

The next biggest threat and this might be controversial IMO is Gilberto.

 

Saunders can’t win. That slick style isn’t gonna get the decision and offensively, he’s inferior to Canelo. Bjs is gonna get beaten up early then go into survival mode the rest of the night.

When I think of Saunders the word,,,was is in front. Look at Serge's post, he really hasn't shown anything in a few years and nothing at 168 pounds .If he can be what he WAS a few years ago he can give him a tough time. It's up to BJS to pull the surprise because honestly if he was viewed as a threat Canelo wouldn't be fighting him

 

The 168 pound division, aside from Benevidez, is like Crawford's 140 division. Weak sauce opponents.

I enjoyed the Pacquiao option that I did not first notice. I think BJS makes a good fight ot it, but Canelo wins, I am thinking around 10 TKO, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it go the cards. I expect BJS to give his best effort, and if he does Canelo might just need to be at the top of his game as well. First fight I have been real excited about (although I am not particularly a fan of either guy...more a fan of good boxing and I fully expect this to be a good hard fight.) since Lopez vs Loma.

 

Because it's not like this ever happens.
