I did wonder if it might be bluff/double-bluff... To ask for a bigger ring suggests he'd be running - let Canelo believe that and plan for that and then come out swinging.

Not sure BJS has the power to pull that off, but then I didn't think Fury had the power to run Wilder over and that double bluff caught Wilder seemingly unprepared...

Hard to see much other than a Canelo win unless BJS can somehow find a KO though - which makes me wonder if he's got the balls to do it, and whether a surprise element would be valuable if he does dare to try.

He's trying to do his best impression of what Tyson Fury successfully pulled off vs Wlad and then in the Wilder rematch. But the difference is Canelo is a different animal and is too seasoned and experienced to fall for this type of thing.

It's like that movie Multiplicity with Michael Keaton. Billy Joe is like one of Tyson Fury's glitchy clones who can't quite act and play mind games like the original could, but tries his damnest to pull it off anyway.

Was Wlad not seasoned enough that one wouldn't expect him to fall for it?

Easy to say in hindsight, but it's a funny old sport sometimes.

I'm not saying Canelo would fall for it, or that it'd necessarily be decisive even if he did... I just find the mindgames element interesting.

If you want a point of reference for a 22' foot ring within the ropes, Ruiz Jr. V Joshua 2 took place in one:

I believe that was significantly bigger than fight one at MSG

LOL at thinking a top level athlete is not utilising the best pharmaceuticals on the market, administered by sophisticated "sports doctors".

Of course he's on the sauce, and so what?

    Some reason?

The reason is obvious. Saunders is a scumbag, it's that simple and I hope he gets battered.
