Sticking with my original prediction of Canelo winning this on points and being a clear winner, with Billy performing well and giving a good account of himself. I don't think there will be any big controversy. Billy in his best condition and with a good camp behind him would have beaten the other champions even at 168 pre 2021 but Canelo is a step too far.
Comes down to levels and Canelo is a level above. Stylistically BJS could cause Canelo some problems but Canelo will figure him out and KO him lateish in the fight.

Ive always thought a prime billy can beat canelo, but i think hes past prime and too inactive hence i think he gets stopped after running out of gas in the later rounds. Hope im wrong and he pulls of a masterclass.
Old and shot slugger Kovalev turned boxer was outboxing Alvarez for 11 rounds. I won't be watching but I'm expecting the sensational talent Saunders to genuinely give it a good go with ambition unlike the spineless Calum Smith. Horrible little man is Alvarez. The sooner he gets beat the better. With Ace Ventura behind Saunders, anything is possible.
It is a disservice to call him a slugger, I concede. He is one of my favourite boxers ever. But he won all of his big bouts (and all bouts in general) in a particular way, which all changed when he got with McGirt and boxed Eleider Alvarez' head off in the rematch, and then boxed on the back foot vs Saul Alvarez like a fish out of water. He was gassed by the final quarter despite the low volume. It wasn't his style at all, but he still managed to successfully execute it until into the 11th. Saunders should have a much better engine and has much better movement in general than Kovalev. He also has a good jab and can throw from awkward angles. What I'm saying is if that Kovalev could do what he did, Saunders should at least take some motivation from that. Alvarez is not some kind of powerhouse like people make him out to be. If Saunders doesn't do very well, win or lose, then I have certainly overestimated his chances.
One thing about this fight that has struck me is how calm and confident about it that Saunders seems. The only other times I can remember Alvarez opponents appearing calm and confident was Mayweather Jnr and Golovkin (first fight, he just seemed hacked off the second time, who could blame him). In both of those fights Alvarez was outboxed. It can also be done and Saunders has the tools to do it and just possibly the mentality, the mentality to actually believe in himself unlike some of the stiffs that have just walked in for the payday and handed over their belts to this Mexican cashcow. I'll say it again, don't get me wrong, World Class, Elite Level, All Time Great but he can be beaten. Come on Saunders.
