    Takayama was shipping some clean shots but he was throwing back and had proven he was capable of recovering and returning fire.

    Just a god-awful stoppage from a god-awful referee.

    I'll defer to the referee on the stoppage. Takayama was taking a lot of big shots and starting to show the effects, imo. I thought it was early, but he's the one in the ring with them, so....

    In hindsight, Takayama keep retiring and keep coming back and being a 5 time champion....they probably should have let him fight. Boxing is all he knows.

    There isn't even a hint of a justification for that. Soto wasn't landing more than a consecutive punch or two in any of his flurries, and NOTHING unanswered. Takayama was the ring general and pushing forward that whole round. Seriously what the hell excuse could Laurence Cole have for this? :thinking:
