Them scorecards are terrible. I heard Spud O'Connor had a crew ready at each of the judges houses ready to do them over should they not give Canelo the points win.

It's a bit like Bellew v Usyk in a sense where one fighter is in 5th gear having the fight of his life whilst the main fella is in 3rd and just moving through the gears and getting into his rhythm. Both ended with stoppages when they got tired and found with a decent shot.

He was making canelo miss and out jabbing him.

If canelo hadnt landed that shot and the rest of the fight went the same the scorecards would have been very very close.

But canelo is known to be lucky, he needed it tonight as he had no answer to billys superior ring iq.

was a heavy shot and Saunders was ducking down into it.

If he snapped his eye hole i don’t blame him for pulling out.

I think I'll keep this £1.99 sub if her with the pink hair is on more. Gives woolhouse a run for her money

But he did land the shot. It wasn't luck. He threw it to land and it did. Thats the point.

His answer to BJS was you can have your 24ft ring but I will still get you and he did.

Kell Brook got far more stick than BJS is getting.

Agreed, if Canelo hadn't landed a legitimate punch that stopped Saunders then we may have had a different result.

Thing is, he did land it.

The fighting man, I'm sure they're many interviews out there which are going to re surface over the coming hours and days of BJS claiming he would never quit.

I had it 4-4, the scorecards were a joke. I think we all knew he had no chance of winning, you can't beat canelo on points and saunders was never going to stop him.

Extremely unlucky for the fight to end like it did.

Billy did more in one round than Smith did in 12.

I would certainly like to see a re-match, Canelo wants to fight in the UK, get it on in 2022.

Nasty injury, no shame in putting health 1st regarding your eyes.

Congratulations to both fighters on a compelling fight.

Neither should get stick. A suspected orbital bone fracture is serious stuff. But if people give Kell more stick it's because he was close to the end of the fight and Canelo hits a damn lot harder than Spence and at a far higher weight too.

    I get that.

But its unlucky he broke bills face with one shot, otherwise it was a really competitive fight. Shame for all billys hard work he didnt get to see the final bell.

That said the cards were a joke as expected and he was never winning that fight anyway so makes no odds it was stopped really. He would have got robbed if he had of won.

If me granny had balls she would be my granda, Canelo is very skilled and has unbelivable power, the shot that finished it was incredible, he knew Billy was going to duck into it and ripped his soul from his body, delighted BJS got hurt bad, horrible *******.

Saunders should have gave it another round. Though the eye did look very bad.

I wonder if Willie Monroe will be gloating in what happened, I remember Saunders taking the **** out of him for quitting. Eubank jr defo will be gloating,

I had it by two to Canelo giving the 3rd or 4th round was very close but knew Canelo would get it.

It’s a shame the fight ended how it did but if you can’t see out one eye against a power puncher like Canelo what can you do. It’s hardly the same as a cut and there was 4 rounds left not like it was the 11th and you knew you were miles ahead on the cards or even facing a jabber like Joyce.

Billy isn’t a 168 pounder he was breathing heavy earlier than normal for me and didn’t start as fast or elusive. He needed to bank the early rounds which after 5 he down. Where’s does he go from here.

What would a rematch tell us? Honestly even when Saunders won round 5 - his best round of the fight and momentum in his favour you knew the KO was inevitable. He was eating big shots from the first minute, he’s notoriously got a **** poor engine.
