Canelo was winning. That's a fact.

Your scorecard and my scorecard don't matter.

Only the judges' scorecards matter. All three had Canelo ahead.

    Canelo was winning the fight.

    A badly busted eye?
Boxing fans have some mighty high standards.
I guess Sugar Ray Robinson didn´t have a champions heart either. Dude quit because of heat...

This would have worked out much better for BJS if he had better CCA. As it stands, he deserved every bit suffering that was inflicted upon him in the 8th round.

I said no chance when BJS threatened to quit the fight earlier in the week, I was wrong.

    It's just ridiculous.

Some People wanted to see BJS beaten up, OK I understand that if you don't like a boxer, I've wanted the odd fighter to get slapped.

They wanted him outclassed and knocked out, but the fact is he wasn't outclassed and he broke his orbital.

Instead of saying "BJS did better than I expected and the orbital break is a horrible injury, I wish him well"

They have to try and take pleasure from what was an unsatisfactory ending and slaughter a man for not being willing to risk his eyesight.

    What can you say?

Yes no doubt. Canelo WILL eventually figure his opponent out and start timing his shots. He's not the kid who lost to Floyd and struggled with Lara anymore. He's a very, very talented boxer and his iron chin gives him a comfort blanket to go for the kill. But he needs to test himself against someone who could hurt him. Clearly no one else at 168 bothers him.

Also this fight shows just how good Floyd was and how underrated Floyd's punch power is. Floyd peppered him and clearly his shots hurt him. Bill's shots didn't have enough of an impact to dissuade Canelo.

And a massive fighting heart, which Saunders apparently lacks.

It comes as no surprise to me that Billy Joe is not cut from Fury cloth. Yet and still, I am surprised he didn't have more go in him than that. At least take the minute to catch your bearings and try to give it a couple of rounds and see what you can do.

That was a miserable quit. Can't be excused, having seen guys like Basilio, Gatti and Morales (and, most recently, a woman with breast implants) fight on and on through the same kind of injury, and especially given how Billy Joe touted his heart before the fight.

Saunders has beautiful boxing, and he was showing it through six and a half very competitive rounds, but he doesn't have the championship fortitude to live like a fighter or (it seems) to behave like one in the ring when real adversity comes a-knockin'.

No he absolutely was not. Saunders was 5-2 and coming on strong until his eye went

I guess it's semantics. Did BJS quit the fight? Yes. So I call it quitting. I obviously don't think he's a ***** if his orbital is broken though. Even if he quit for a different reason I wouldn't say a word against him cause I'm not in there. So, I think it's just semantics here. The word "quit" is synonymous with bitching out in boxing I guess.
