He had it all his own way leading up to this fight, he will end up on a curb your clout compilation next. I feel bad for him as he was in tears but he knows deep down he quit.

And I love how we are supposed to hold up everyone to the same standard as Margarito, who clearly was inhuman
"But Margarito fought with a busted eye in two fights".
Yeah, this also the guy who ate flush shots from Cotto like tic tacs. And whom Mosley had to batter for 9 rounds.
Mosley had serious power and he was landing at will. Yet Margarito just kept taking it.

The only lucky punch in boxing history was when Pacquiao tripped over Roidquez feet and fell right into a shot.

what we saw tonight was just a perfectly timed counter

Good fight. BJS did well but I had him down 6-2. Canelo broke him down with good body shots and set him up for that huge shot. His eye was bad but he quit. Didn’t even look like he wanted to fight after he took that shot. Just wanted out.

it is what is. Some guys are gonna continue. Some won’t. Not everyone can be a warrior.

    I doubt he fights again.

Not necessarily - it depends on what criteria the judges are using; some favour workrate, volume, whilst others favour clean power shots.

Anyone that favours clean power shots is going to be naturally bias to Canelo because that's his countering style. Even though I had Saunders winning rounds 3-7 (with 4&7 close), I can see how someone might favour Canelo's more eye-catching shots - where he visibly affected Saunders more than the other way around.

I think this also caused a lot of the issues with GGG scoring (especially in the 2nd fight)

It wasn´t brutal at all. He got hurt and his eye busted. But he didn´t take a sustained beating.
    They saved him from that.

    I had it 76-76
But if you had given the first to Canelo you could have it 77-75.

    However, 78-74 is too wide.

It didn’t matter though because BJS got caught flush with the upper cut and wasn’t realistically in hindsight physically able to keep it together for a full 12 rounds...he clearly wasn’t 100%.

He was getting trapped on the ropes too early for my liking to be able to see it to the end.

Come on now. How many other boxers from 160 to 175 could land a catch-hook combo like Saunders did against arguably the P4P best in the world?

Saunders' performance up until the beginning of the 8th was special.

If Saunders eye socket is cracked he was right to stop.
Or if he couldn’t see. The damage could be permanent otherwise. It’s not like he wasn’t competing or that he faked it. His eye was buggered.
Not the result I wanted but it was a good fight. The other 3 fights all had some fishy stuff but this one I think was technically correct in being stopped even if it wasn’t my preferred victor.

He quit, it is what it is. The world saw it, other fighters have pushed through. Not saying that most men could in general but it is what it is. No malice to him.

But the thing is, what did Canelo do when BJS was leaning against the ropes? Nothing. BJS quickly got away and stuck to his gameplan, I am never going to watch another Canelo fight again man, nobody gets a fair shake against him.
