Of course he was affected by the body shots because they were draining him. Basically Canelo set him up beautifully.

 Thank you, I appreciate it. Although, you didn't know, so I know it wasn't done vindictively. And for what it's worth. My go **** yourself was done kind of tongue in cheek manner. That was go to response. tonight.

People don't hate Canelo because they think he's a bad boxer, people hate Canelo because, every single fight, he always gets the judges' favor. Everyone benefits from gift decisions sometimes, but in Canelo's case, it's every fight. At some point, you have to start asking why Canelo is always so "lucky."

    Canelo 53% power punches landed.
    BJS 26% power punches landed.

Because he generates truckloads of money when he fights and wherever he happens to be fighting.

Not that that makes it right, of course: opponents should go into a fight with Canelo knowing they'll at least get a fair shake from officials.

Cosign on this - society is supposed to be progressive, and just because some "warriors" fight on and give themselves permanent disability, doesn't make it right.

Dubois did the right thing, if Saunders has Orbital bone fracture then he and his corner also did the right thing, and probably Lebedev and others who fought on through horrendous eye injuries might look back in later life and wished they too had RTD.

    Exactly
Canelo is an excellent boxer. Period.
But the playing field is never level it seems and that’s what galls people.

Yeah you're right, they could sell it again. Give Billy a challenge and a name to beat or give him someone to knock out to kind of validate him again and it could happen. Maybe in the UK.

Look, just to be clear, I take nothing away from Canelo.

He threw a punch and it ended the fight, he didn't throw the punch to miss.

He is P4P number 1 in my humble opinion and I don't see anybody at 160 or 168 beating him right now, he looks like he is peaking.

All I'm saying is BJS did better than I thought he would, he made it very competitive, it looks like he has ended up with a very serious eye injury and it was a sad way to end that fight.

I just don think believe it's right or fair to start calling BJS a "quitter" or say he didn't have "heart", that's all, an orbital fracture/break is so serious and apparently extremely painful.

I just don't think a boxing match is worth risking your eyesight.. yes I know fighters risk their lives, but if you can't see and know what an orbital break is and what can happen to you, then I personally think retiring is the correct decision.

Anyway, Congratulations to Canelo, another W and we move on to Plant.

Take the 22 foot ring away and would this have ended sooner?

Also you can guarantee if there is a rematch there will be no 22 foot ring. Any bargaining power Saunders have is gone. No belt and no zero.
