We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender

Thought when Saunders had this in his intro he was dead serious about that business tonight.

Well I'm watching interview with Mark Tibbs.

He is saying he ended the fight, his words "his eye socket was caved in and I wasn't getting the response I wanted"

    So he pulled him out.

I never caught that. If that doesn't just compounds the ignominy.

As a fight degenerate, I've tolerated Saunders' habitual crumbiness out of the ring for the love of his pure Will o' the Wisp boxing inside of it. It wasn't his boxing that let him down tonight — he gave about as good an account of his ability as I expected him to, up until it suddenly got too hard and he bailed. His character was the big letdown, as ever.

Superb, so you know what it's like to get hit and hurt.

BJS was in with the P4P number 1 who punches very hard and his eye socket had caved in, do you really believe he should have continued?

Mark Tibbs: "Well, his eye socket was caved in"

    CAVED IN?!?!?!?!

    WHAT A LOAD OF BS!

Mark Tibbs: "listen, he was in pain"

Um, in pain for less than a round and then quit on his butt.

Well there goes the whole theory that Saunders has a glass chin. I mean, he took a vicious uppercut that turned his eye socket to mush, from one of the most vicious punchers in the sport, and didn't look even close to going down.

Oh come on, you're better than that.

All fighters talk crap before a fight, McClellan said he wanted to kill Nigel Benn before their fight and ended up nearly losing his own life... that doesn't mean he deserved almost dying for talking crap even if it was off key.

Wilder said he wanted a body on his record, I wouldn't wish him death because he said that.

BJS said he'd smash Canelo, doesn't mean he should have risked going blind.

Yeah true, that's gone unmentioned, BJS was never seriously wobbled, never looked in any trouble, took those shots extremely well.

BJS has an excellent chin, as long as this injury isn't a career ending he will be back, maybe he should consider going back down to 160.
