It's funny how many dislike Canelo and how many threads are written in the name of this dislike. Even more fun is how many are scrambling to find some boxer who can beat him or to invoke a Canelo v Golovkin III that will never be done. The truth from my humble point of view is that currently there are no boxers who can beat Alvarez at any weigh he fights.. not even Beterbiev. Canelo will win more fights because his boxing is unrivaled, his jaw is made of steel and he hits harder than all and systematically many of you will clog this site with dozens of threads and dislike posts about Canelo every time he wins a bout. I was a Canelo hater but turned into a fan after he made Smith look like a journeymen. He’s proved me wrong too many times and only seems to be getting better, but I do think Bivol beats Canelo
I still feel Benavidez will beat him. Tall, rangy, quick hands with power and likes a punch up. Can't see Canelo taking him on until his ego gets the better of him.
It's good in a way because people run out of names for him to fight. His willingness to fight the best won me over years ago when he faced Trout and Lara.
he kos benavidez, and im a fan of his, hes a tough, stone cold killer. but he doesnt have the defense to compete with a guy with this much offensive skill, backed by this much power. he would chop david into little bits.
Canelo is an elite fighter but he's far from unbeatable. The boxer who beats him will win the jab war and has as much variety as he does. Bivol could beat him i think with his variety of punches and by winning the jab contest. I think Canelo has the better chin than Bivol i believe. Canelo could stop Bivol or look out of his element missing wildly and being peppered with jabs.
Benaivides and Plant are the toughest fights for him at 168 pounds. Not sure if they will win but I do feel the guy to beat him currently fights at a lower weight class. The good news is I envisage him moving up the weights from next year.
It is one thing to think who can beat a fighter and share your thoughts with balanced posts as you do... one thing is how some write to have the certainty that a fighter can beat another fighter and in the name of this often unfounded certainty to insult the fighter they hate and that they long for it to be beaten.
I don't see it going like this, am a Benavidez fan too. Just feel he has the front foot pressure game to put Canelo off and the chin to back it up. Either way would make a great fight.
