Canelo said a few days ago that he’s not confident he could still make 160. So GGG would definitely have to move up to 168 to make the fight happen. You’ve got to figure that Canelo vs Plant is next. Assuming Canelo wins and becomes undisputed at SMW, I’m really not sure what he does next. I guess he could stay at 168 but the only guy really left would be Benavidez or GGG if he did decide to move up for one last big fight. More than likely, he moves up to 175 full time and takes on Beterbiev, Bivol, and Smith Jr.

Lil G is irrelevant as they fought twice and Canelo won. Lil G is now avoiding unification fights against other champions unlike Canelo. If he can beat Andrade, Charlo or Eubank then he will get a shot next year otherwise get the fuct outta here like Canelo would say.

He didnt get his ass kicked in the 2nd fight, he fought every bit as tough as Canelo did toe to toe. Wore Canelo's A*# out. Don't play like GGG got his a#* kicked because Canelo didn't run the 2nd fight. The b.s. is thick.

The pay day has to be insanely high to convince Canelo to take it

I like GGG, but he is old and almost took a knee after Derev's body punch. Canelo gonna knock him out in third fight, i am pretty sure about it.

If GGG was in his prime I'd like to see a rubber between them, but as it is I can't really see the point. Plant, Benavidez, Bivol and Beterbiev are all more interesting options.

look man I Respect your opinion maybe I feel this way because I’m still stuck on eras before, when guys would actually fight each other, the biggest reason I’ll even go to bat for Canelo among a few other fighters is because he’s actively fighting the fights.. but on a historical level he’ll never really reach as high as he could because of opposition..
Look at all the fighters at 160/68 worth a damn Canelo has either fought them or is about to fight them yet none of them have fought each other...

a win over Saunders would be VASTLY better if he actually did something before but he hasn’t so for me while Canelo is a great of this era simply because of lack of ambition from other fighters there will always be a cap for how high you can rate him.

dude I remember the round by round of fight I most ppl had Canelo up 3-1 after 4 I’ll give GGG credit because when Canelo gassed he took over mid fight until the championship rounds but the man got a draw.. for me GGG7-5,draw6-6,5-7Canelo are reasonable scores anything outside of that is just bias you ppl acting like fight I wasn’t a 50/50 fight are as bad as the judge who scored it wide for Canelo

I think the crime will fallow Canelo where ever he fights.

True. Even if he was to beat Bivol and Beterbiev, the question would still kind of be who they really beat to be considered all that. But if he does, I will rate him highly. Beating the top fighters in four divisions isn't done every day, after all.

Most likley, he like Wilder and A.J and Fury is enough skilled to beat up old uncles or like Crawford to have best boxer he had in the ring in Mean Machine who was " washing machine in forums " despite Terence did not ha took deserved count after this one.
This is Crawford real life level: best " cab driver " accoriding to some from his fans comments on YT he had Machine " hype job ".
Damn cool carrier for him to blame further modern boring boxing era.
BTW, does have he ballls at least to fight with bum according to his fans machine again or just yell how evil bob had ruined his career and future pay checks while we most likely do know : rematch with machine guy and fight with rematch vs Spence might bring him to HEAVEN value.

Yeah. A points win over Derevenchenko (or however it's spelled) that easily could have gone the other way is all he has done of any significance since their last meeting, besides ageing. Hard to get too excited about that.

18 KO'S out of 20 successful title defenses isn't hype, it's reality, then he proved it against Canelo as well, before the protectors of the cash cow insurance policy had to kick in. I'm sure Canelo's fans are greatful for that policy because it gives them their much desired bragging rights today.
