I feel like live you can hear the crack/impact of the punches better. Canelo was landing HARD shots in the first couple of rounds and was genuinely winning the fight at the beginning. I was quite dissapointed with Saunders performance at the beginning.

Then, mid rounds Saunders started performing better and I knew the fight was going to become more even on the scorecards. But then boom in the 8th you can clearly tell Saunders was damaged and just trying to survive the round which I think he did well.

But you cannot say BJS was winning on the scorecards or outboxing him the whole fight. He started getting the better of Canelo in the mid rounds but the point is moot because Canelo stopped him.

Canelo truly has that 1 punch Wilder KO power and its very evident when you see him live. Plus he is a very good boxer and has high ring IQ, he basically is unbeatable unless you have a guy like Golovkin against him.

Saunders best win at 168 is a 40 year old Martin Murray. He has zero legacy at SMW. Try and window dress it all you want, Canelos SMW legacy thus far is Callum Smith, who'd been out over a year & who many thought was coming off a loss. SMW division is a meth den. Plant, Saunders & Smith combined have ONE single semi decent win over a faded Groves .. I was going to be generous and include Uzcategui but nah, he's a career MW & recently lost to bum Lionel Thompson.. that's his opposition.. let that sink in LOL

At the time of the stoppage i had it 5-3 Canelo. As I've said in the past Saunders gave Canelo hell in the mid rounds because of his slipperiness and he was catching up on the cards but Canelo slowed him down and figured him out. As soon as Canelo stopped respecting Saunders counters and jabs and started taxing that ass at the end of round 8 it was over

Agree totally. BJS won a couple of rounds, that's it. For all his good movement he didn't get through with many meaningful punches.

I had it 4-4 but Saunders was never going to win a decision. He and his team should have been prepared for Canelos game plan of working the body, he had a huge blunder by staying in the pocket and allowing Canelo to work the body

I had it 6-2 or maybe at worst 5-3 Canelo... he was just being patient but as soon as he stepped on the gas ...well we saw what happened

to stop Canelo in distance, otherwise no hope to win vs him in U.S for sure.
Even if you will win all rounds.
One judge even had scored his fight vs Floyd Jr as a draw.
If you are not Floyd Jr you should KO him out cold to win if they will not DQ you for this offense.
