Goddamn. Love him or revile him, Canelo really is the conversation piece of the sport nowadays.

This somehow, with only a so-so undercard, became the second most replied to RBR of all time, behind only Pacquiao vs. Bradley I, and 37th most replied-to of threads in the General Forum (and just barely top 50 including all the other sub-forums).

It was only around 12k posts during the main event ring walks and pageantry. Nothing to sneeze at but that shouldn't have put it on pace to break records. As of the stoppage it was already on the verge of passing Mayweather vs. Maidana I to knock on the door of top five, and in the course of the ensuing arguments dragging overnight and into the morning it surpassed the rest of Mayweather's entries (versus Cotto and Guerrero) as well as Joshua's highest pair (Ruiz II and Parker) to claim the number two spot.

Continuing to believe the IBO belt is a genuine world title is even more shameful

I guess Takayama's brave display elevated the co-main to generate more buzz than it might have been expected to...eight pages of everyone railing against the stoppage is a significant disruption, but from the first bell until everyone dropping the subject and moving on to Canelo vs. BJS was only 23 pages in all (p49-71). Saunders' takeover in the 5th-7th inspired a good 15+ pages and then Canelo's turnaround eighth yielded about half a dozen more before the stoppage...and 825, or nearly a third of the whole thread, has been dedicated to post-mortem.

XenForo doesn't really have any intuitive way to view such a metric, if they even log it. Maybe at the admin level? But definitely not for regular users or even mods.

That's an interesting thought, however - what threads received the most unique individuals replying and which of the highest ranked ones actually just had echo chambers of a relatively small but extremely vocal contingent.

thats the reason it interests me. i see the same people cry over the same things, about the same fighters. it would be interesting to see what fights draw the boxing fans, and which ones the cry babies.

    I didn't have it 6-2 for Canelo.

It doesn't matter what my scorecard said.

It doesn't matter what your scorecard said.

    Only the judges' scorecards matter.

Saunders was behind on all three scorecards.

    Which is the "1", IYO?

...and how married are you to giving Canelo the rest (of the 1st or 4th-7th, minus the one you gave him)? Gomez and Morticia Addams married, or like Joey and Mary Jo Buttafuoco married?

When did WBO belt become relevant.

Never heard of it, then a couple of years later it was a real thing.

I still consider it the bottom level with IBO tbh

I must say Return of the Living Dead is a terrible one. Cool dance on the tombstone but everything else is very cringe. I guess I prefer ny zombie films to be entirely serious. "BRAINS!" Some on here don't have much between the ears but what're ya gonna do, we all share a hobby. If it wasn't for the repeatedly incorrect, there wouldn't be near as much to debate or even say.

The Top Rank belt? They pushed the WBO into "legitimacy." Yeah WBO seems bottom of the four but it's been quite a few years now that they're not much worse, maybe even better for stretches I dunno, than the others.

Yet another thing we vehemently disagree on.:sisi1 I mean, I prefer Romero and Fulci zombie films too. But not necessarily at the expense of any other zombie films.
