Briedis moving up to heavyweight soon.in my opinion Briedis has p4p skills in my opinion he has good counter punching and good power. Joshua is bigger can box and has power himself as well. I'd be very confident of Briedis stopping Joshua mainly due to having quicker hands.

    Who'd win this fight?

Don't know but A.J is even more hyped up that Wilder was.
He had beat Pulev with more effort than this had been required from 38 y.o Wlad and I'm sure that Dorticos or Briedis did not had needed 9 rounds to finish 39 y.o Pulev or 10 rounds to deal with Takam like A.J did.

A.J really is only successful in old uncles beat up, when boxers are not enough old for him, he can't finish them at all.
A.J is not better than Wilder.
    Maybe even really worse.
He already had proved that he is not better than Ruiz.

If he will KO Fury, I will think about him good. Today he looks like nice but overvalued lad in eddie games.

AJ is a far better all round fighter than Wilder is

How anyone can say otherwise ,i just don't know

Anyhow Briedis has waited too long to try and move to HW

He can finish his carer with a couple of nice pay days for sure this way but i dont think he is beating anyone in the top 5

Both like to use dirty tactics and in a way I think Bredis may be able to match AJ in that respect. Still I'm not sure he has it at Heavyweight so he has a chance for sure but I would reserve judgement to see what he can do vs another heavyweight opponent first.

Briedis is very durable and short, so I could see him being a very hard target for Joshua to land clean on. I could also see Briedis going right to Joshua’s body and wearing Joshua down if Joshua isn’t careful, so I don’t see Joshua having an easy time with Briedis at all.

Well, Briedis already does have far more exp at HW than Usyk.
Problem most likely might be that he is from small country and most likely is assumed that he can't generate enough money.
    Depends from his shape.

He is old guy, really WBSS2 era Briedis is already old lad if to be fair.

I think if he will be in good shape he might KO fighters like White and Chisora, I'm sure that vs prime Briedis they had been stopped in distance, also even if prime Bellew or current Usyk.

Fighters like Parker might make him a lot of trouble.

For him looks that liked punchers with slow feet and attempting to land on him big punches.
Did not liked moving boxers with good jab.
Briedis is a bit undervalued if talking about his prime years real abilities.
Not unique but he packed not less power than real prime Pov versions.
If in bad shape, Dorticos might had won him via UD with no doubts.

Depends from his shape, he is old lad now.
Dorticos rematch and Makabu might look for me interesting and not that much dirty Briedis is. Less dirty than Ward, Okolie or Fury or a lot of famous idols.
If you aren't Glowacki and he really had deserved even a kick there.

Briedis might be called by haters as they wish but he normally box if you are not attempting to grapple with him and if he is in good shape.
If not good shape, he is very boring, if good shape, he might be really rare brilliant entertainment. Sometimes.

Well, until Ruiz vs Arreola and Parker vs Chisora I really had laughted to see such thread.
Cos Briedis is aging and over the hill and most likely approx 213-214 lber not larger.

Still, yeah, I think he might perform vs Chisora better than Usyk had cos he is more suitable for HW than Usyk might imagine.
The same vs Whyte and while I did not had gave him any chance earlier, if he is in good shape ( I don't know ) he for sure might be good test for Usyk at HW and even Parker. Not to mention that most likely 213-214 lbs Briedis might be more successful vs Usyk than CW versions and yeah, vs A.J too this will not be Ruiz Jr level or White level.

If he is too old, I think he should retire.
If no, then move to HW. Unlike Usyk, he was more mobile as HW boxer than as CW boxer, maybe at least he will move around faster and more smoothly, so more entertaining for ppl to see him.

CW Level Briedis is the only human in the history of our species to have sparked Manual ''Diamond Boy'' Charr out and not only that but he sparked him out cold in KO of the Decade type fashion, felling him face first like a giant redwood and leaving him sucking the canvas like an asthmatic catfish.

AJ has never sparked anyone out and he is a massive ripped to **** 245lb SHW

I have already scientifically proven that Fat Andy is not only a featherfist but that he was also a fad

Povetkin who has one of the best KO Highlight reels of recent times down at HW Level and possesses legit savage one punch KO power in both hands couldn't do that to him despite taking him out with some absolutely sublime combination punching the likes of which you rarely see down at HW Level

Vitali could only finish Charr on a cut albeit an old senior citizen past prime Vitali

Chris Arreola still to this day says the hardest he's been hit is by CW Level Gassiev in the gym. He said he hated sparring him

Let's revisit this post of mine now that Fat Andy the Featherfised Fad couldn't even hurt a 40 shot to bits Arreola

“The power he has shown me in the gym sparring against [heavyweights Dominic] Breazeale, Charles Martin, Gerald Washington, Chris Arreola, is very real,” Sanchez said. “All those guys, he’s been able to dominate and hurt. Once we get him to the heavyweight division and stabilize him at 225, 230, and put some muscle on those pounds, he’ll be very effective.''
    -- Abel Sanchez

Which HW's ribs did Gassiev break in sparring?

''Ask any given sparring partner who’s been in there with him and they will tell you he’s a small heavyweight who fights like a big heavyweight.

“Murat Gassiev – that motherbeeeper hits hard,” heavyweight contender Chris Arreola said of his experience while training with the Russian banger in Big Bear, California.

The two worked in the same gym space for their recent training camps. Arreola was preparing for his December 12 showdown with Travis Kauffman, a fight he won by split decision. The final outcome was disputed, but Arreola’s energy at fight’s end was attributed to the work he put in during his time in Big Bear, also crediting Gassiev as one of the fighters who pushed him in the gym.

“He caught me in the ribs during one sparring session, I just never been hit like that before,” Arreola admitted. “This was a camp I was already determined to leave as a trim and ready fighter, but I knew I couldn’t half-ass it when he was there. Whenever I saw him in the gym when I arrived, I was like “Beep, not that guy again.” But he makes you work in the gym, he makes you a better fighter.”

'Here is another endorsement. World-class cruiserweight Ola Afolabi (who has sparred both Wlad and Vitali among other HWs) proclaimed that Gassiev is a certified assassin. “Probably the hardest puncher I’ve ever been in with,” said Afolabi, a pro since 2002 and a three-time cruiserweight title challenger ranked No. 10 by THE RING.'

S-JAM Boxing said he's the hardest puncher he's ever seen, and that he's seen him up close and personal in the gym and tapes of him doing bad things to top ten HWs in the gym ie. wrecking and sparking them. Just join the dots. S-JAM Boxing manages Joe Joyce, Joyce was trained by Abel Sanchez and he's obviously alluding to the footage he's seen in Sanchez's gym.

I sparred Stiverne, Parker and Ruiz and can tell you that Ruiz is anything but feather fisted, he has KO power in his hands, don’t let his appearance fool you.
