Carl Froch vs Canelo

He's a wind up merchant.. he spent years saying GGG was too small but now Canelo irons him out LOL.. he's got a strange sense of humour & likes to fk with people.. I highly doubt Canelo sparks an ATG chin like that..

 

I had this as a draw in the other thread.

I'm loathe to ever call a draw, and they are pretty rare.

I just can't split them in any meaningful way, so a draw seems reasonable.

Why is Froch who isn't even a hof mention with Canelo?? Fantasy Froch stops him, reality Froch is tailor made for Canelo.

 

Canelo would counter the hell outta the bigger slower robot.

Froch was good, but Canelo is in another level might end up being one of the top atg Mexican fighters , hes only 30 years old and has done too much.

Yea love him or hate him you can't name more than 3 atg Mexican fighters with a better defense than Canelo?? Once retired Canelo will be up there with the greats

true greats at SMW like ward and calzaghe beat everyone else at that weight.
you can't say froch and kessler also have that title just because the other two had to fight them to elevate that status.

 

You have a point but always use such dramatic language that makes it sound like hyperbole. I don;t think there would be a "beat down". I'd give Froch and Zag a decent chance of winning though.

 

This always brings me back to the question of why Cobra never wanted a piece of GGG before retiring.

Too big and strong? Nah, more likely afraid of getting chinned in front of 80k fans.

Froch was custom made to be destroyed by GGG, a limited granite chin plodder.

Canelo, today, is just as good as GGG was/is.

Canelo has improved massively and all credit to him.
And i can easily see Canelo smashing him to bits with hard accurate counters all night.
