Disregard his level of competition, his stamina problems, lack of power, etc. For just a moment.

The way he looks in there with his speed of hand and punch technique is really unique.

The way the punches go together artistically in the pocket with that kind of speed at that high of a weight class is special.

I agree, Plant is a gifted dude, he is going to get wrecked by Canelo if they fight.

Probably. I'd like to see Plant work on his stamina. He could pull off the upset here with improvements. Hes the most naturally talented fighter at 168, Canelo included.

Canelo will do what he's done the last few fights against 168 pounders , come forward with a high guard , cut the ring off and throw bombs. He hasn't fought a 168 pound fighter who can bomb, and I don't include the wreck of Kovalev as a threat either

I'd say Lemieux might be the hardest punching 168 pounder but it's hard to judge off what little he's done at that weight, Berlanga, Benevidez, . Canelo won't go near Joe Smith or Beterbiev at 175 so those punchers are off the table

    Canelo would absolutely smash Lemieux.

Canelo is too good, he’s not losing to Caleb Plant...respectfully.

That all changes if he fights David Benavidez and there is no catchweight or rehydration clause goings-on.

I've wondered if Plant could get more power if he worked on some different mechanics. He appears smart andclean living, he could add something without losing what he has.

He knows the big payday is coming, maybe invest in one of the more offensively minded trainers who do one-off camps for established veterans.

I get the sense he'll want to win, so take a risk and shake things up because he won't win if he can't get Canelo's respect.

Literally no one cares about Plant. Pretty sad that no ones paying attention to him. Seems to work hard and does the best with what he’s given
