I actually think Canelos improvement since Floyd has been extensively exaggerated. Like seriously come the **** on. He looked a bit like the frustrated swinging plodder against an inactive 160lber Saunders in rounds 5, 6 and 7. The only true test Canelo has had was against GGG when he was 35/36 in which he looked like he had improved but its a bit misleading giving the degradation of GGGs speed, footwork and reflexes at 35. Hence, Canelo was more readily available to show off elements of slickness

That's a great clip of Floyd running away and Canelo punching the rope. Then Floyd bending over and watching the rope bounce up and down. Floyd really did have his running shoes on huh.

 

Floyd didn't know how to fight on the ropes. Floyd didn't wanna stick around for that punch. He took off from those ropes at the speed of light, he was clear across the ring by the time that thing landed lol.
