Hill never faced a boxer as good as Canelo during his light heavy title reign, he`d get murdered with body shots and Canelo would land more counters than Hearns did, Tommy`s hand speed wasn`t that great at 168 or 175, Saunders would have out-boxed Hearns at 168 judging how Hearns struggled with Kinchen at that weight.

People say Canelo has a "granite chin" but that's no guarantee against the kind of power Hearns brings.

Does Maske ring a bell? He would soundly decision Canelo. Are you really saying a master boxer liek Tommy is going to lose to a B level fighter like Saunders?? I can't believe it.

Tommy would win. The jab would land all night and when Canelo started to take chances, Tommy would land the right and stop him.. This is a fight and style Tommy would win rather easily... Golovkin would be tougher for Tommy.

Canelo could win, but I'd favor Hearns. I think both are all-time great middleweights in the bracket of LaMotta, for one. Very intriguing match-up.

Can you imagine Hearns and Lemieux? Tommy blasts him in one.

Saunders beat Hearns? With what? Slaps? Hearns would ko BJS early and he wouldn't have to break his face to do it.

It isn't the right hand that Hearns would control with it's dat laser like jab which would be smacking into Canelo's face all night. The only guys who were able to an extent nullify Hearns' jab were slick, master boxers like Sugar Ray, Benitez and relentless swarmers like Hagler and Barkley.
Saul is neither quick enough or aggressive enough to avoid the jab IMO

I agree with this. Saunders, a total lot of levels below Tommy. Hearns smashes him to the floor before the fifth.

I agree that Golovkin gets to him but I’m not sure Canelo has the feet or the same ability to pin Tommy down as Golovkin would. Hearns wins a tight decision

I’ve got Canelo catching Hearns. Even Roldon had him hurt at 160.

Whether its the fast fading Hearns of 1989-1992 .....or the Hearns of 1985-87.....that Tommy beats Canelo.

The 1st version would go in super confident and post a landslide

The 2nd version would be very uptight and defensive given his disastrous 1988 where both his chin and his confidence went.but he'd still outbox him and win a decision surviving a few scares.

    Roldan was incredibly unorthodox.

His chin is better than Barkley`s was, there`s no way Duran could have dropped Canelo, but I don`t think his chin is as good as Hagler`s was, Hagler was hit by Hearns a lot more than Barkley was though at 160.
