If Fury's stressed about anything, it's probably the fact that Wilder's going to sue him for damages or demand a settlement fee on that contract dispute, if the AJ-Fury fight goes ahead.

It's a familiar story. The fights inside the ring at the least of these guys' problems. It's the lawsuits, the legal fees, the bills and tax demands that eat at them.
Plus he's got a wife and six kids.
I doubt he's worried about Anthony Joshua. He'd probably be the happiest man in the world if he had nothing else to think about, to be fair.

Same goes for AJ. He's a cool customer on the outside but the business end isn't easy. I imagine he has to employ a lot of people to look after his business, and employ others to watch the ones who he employed to look after the business !

I generally wouldn’t be surprised if the vids posted are old and he’s in fine shape

Interesting take, thanks for sharing. Sounds more physical than mental, body is going into a defective program which stores fat for no apparent reason, must be some sort of survival instinct preparing for a shortage of food.

Mental stress makes the body think something bad is around the corner so it goes into survival mode. Makes sense.

I would have assumed any man training in the gym six days a week would be in peak shape, I’m not a gym goer so have no idea of their effectiveness.

Fury does look out of shape, no doubt. Hard to tell if he’s in worse shape than for wilder II. My initial thought was he was in much better shape for wilder II than he is now but just watched that fight again - and what a corker it was - and his trunks were so high they covered his love handles but they were there alright.

He’s not in great shape, which is fine as the fights not even been announced but for a man who trains every day this is worrying. Perhaps the 10 stone weight gain, drink and drugs have just wrecked his metabolism. He certainly wasn’t carrying huge deposits of fat around his waist and back against Klitschko.. but then Nandrolone is a hell of a drug lol

Jesus God! He looks awful, maybe that`s why he`s stalling on signing the contract.

I think people who are generally cynical about this type of announcement for really big fights -- such as myself -- will only believe it to be true when Fury and Joshua are stood across the ring from each other on the date you mentioned, and the bell rings to signify the start of round one.

He is not training hard every day, no way, he will be doing little bits here and there, spending time around the gym, the odd bit of roadwork, some body sparring for movement and leg work, he won't be going crazy this far out from a fight.

And he is never going to be in "great shape", it's just not him.

he is potentially 2 months away from AJ, he doesn't want to overtrain, he knows his body, he knows what weight he needs to be at and what condition he needs to be in.

He made a mention of Ruiz Jr losing too much weight and said he should stay "fat" and work like that, I'm going to assume he will take his own advice anyway.

I also find his relationship with Sugar Hill interesting. Obviously Sugar Hill was part of the Wilder 2 team so deserves the benefit of the doubt.. however on Fury’s stories they seem to **** about an awful lot. Would never have happened under Uncle Peter or even Ben Davison to that extent.

I’m sure it’s more serious behind closed doors but just seems a bit odd to me.

Just after posting this, Fury uploads from a fancy bar in Miami where they’ve got a private table. Sugar Hill there, women either side.

Nothing wrong with all that necessarily - just wondering whether there’s a clear enough divide between trainer and pal. All feels very matey. I appreciate it’s just Instagram though.

I always find it weird how a professional boxer who is supposedly training all the time is still carrying excess fat. Maybe some fighters just don’t train as hard as they claim? It’s their profession you’d think they’d want to look the part.

Like if I Ruiz I’d have been too embarrassed to go out looking like that. I know aesthetics don’t really matter in boxing but even so.

Fury needs to get in shape and get rid of those disgusting rolls of fat or else he's in real trouble in the AJ fight ......
..... I mean, there's no way Anthony Joshua would ever lose to an obese blubbery blob like that ....
