Yeah I mean Canelos body and improved power is a little sus but it's possible to improve your power through training. Canelos hair follicle test passing makes it likely he wasn't doping with the Clenbuterol. The amounts he tested positive for were very low and he's now one of the most tested athletes on earth and he's only failed one test. So id say the odds are doping are very low its possible though Boxings drug testing is not nearly as strict and good at catching doping as USADA is.
Most people in this forum have played competitive sport of some kind in their lives, from school sports teams and up. We've all had that feeling when you think you're good at something, and step up and come up against someone or some team that are on completely another level. That's normal when stepping up from local to regional to national level. The thing is, when you step up to world level, then elite professional athlete level, I just don't think it's possible that out of a population of 7 billion people that you have someone that is completely head and shoulders above everyone else. Federer, Messi, Ronaldo, Nadal, Tiger Woods, Sachin Tendulkar etc and so on were and are all greats in their sport by they had contemporaries that could challenge and compete at least. I can't see anyone challenging or even coming close to Canelo, and that is suspect to me and down to a combination of cherry picking, stacking the deck, and possibly questionable "training methods". This guy looks like a complete super human, it's just not right. Its a bit of a Usain Bolt situation and I always thought he was suspect as well.
I mean Canelo has looked vulnerable GGG arguably beat him twice and Saunders won almost half the rounds in their fight before he stopped him. Canelos hit his athletic and skillful prime RN. Their are fighters who can give him problems still in my mind Charlo and GGG are still the biggest threats to him between 160-168. Doping doesn't always make you look invincible look at Cejudo vs Dillashaw. Dillashaw was on EPO and got finished in like 40 seconds. Some athletes are just special mentally. Canelo could be doping or he's not I don't know all I know is no ones been able to conclusively prove he is.
04:18 As usual a good video, but I completely disagree. Wlad is not an ATG; imo his reign and the length of it was a combination of poor competition and a gift from his brother. Canelo (as you pointed out) yet has more he can do to enhance his legacy.
No one normal pro boxer thinks so much about is he HOF or ATG in forums posts. A.J and Fury had beated up enough lads beated up by Vitali and Wlad or even Povetkin. All these: Wilder, Fury and A.J are in worst era pro HW boxing ever had.
If Canelo is doping (and it would hardly surprise me), he's not unique there. Kovalev and BJS have both failed tests, probably some of his other opponents have too. A little Clenbuterol doesn't explain why he's different. What's unique about him currently is the people that he's boxed against in the pros and his consistent activity. Those athletes in the other sports play each other over and over, so they level out a little. Not in boxing though.
Officially he has one win over GGG and unofficial I have GGG with a win over Big Red. This will be debated forever but again respect to Canelo
Both GGG'S signature wins were stole from him. Now you know . Canelo deserves credit for his wins, not stolen wins. Preach it Rummy!!!
Great Video....Adelaide Byrd and Company helped Canelo set up his career early.....Stevie Wonder could see that...
