The first Golovkin should have been an "L" for Canelo. I thought Golovkin won 8 rounds.
Second one I think had Golovkin winning narrowly too, but it could have gone either way really.

You're probably going to get numerous permutations on this thread. IMO he narrowly lost the first GGG fight and won the second, so he's 0-2 with regards to GGG and Floyd.

As Quina mentions Lara: I remember scoring the fight 115-113 in Canelo's favour, but recall boxing media being very split at the time, so you could stake a case for 0-3/0-4 if you're bringing Lara into it.

i could have accepted any verdict in the second GGG fight, so am happy to give him the benefit of the doubt & chalk it up as a narrow but perfectly legitimate win.

the first one, not so much.

so i suppose i see him as 1-0-2 from those three fights.

don't get me wrong, Canelo is very very good, but as great as he's [sometimes] made out to be? nah.

For me, he's 0-1 to Mayweather, lost to Golovkin first time and maybe drew the renatch, the second GGG being very close, so 2 defeats and 1 draw.

Canelo-Lara was close and disputed at the time as well.

Canelo took no steps back in the rematch against GGG and beat the mexican style out of him. But GGG obviously won the first fight. Lara is debatable. And Floyd Schooled him

Some here claim he has 8 losses (no joke), and was losing to Kovalev and Saunders, and would have had 10 losses had it not been for Kovalev coming into the fight drunk AF on vodka, and Saunders not tripped into Canelo's right uppercut.

He lost the Mayweather fight as a young pup............ he's a completely different beast now.

GGG 1 - I thought he lost that fight

GGG 2 - He won that fight so I have no problem with the decision.

No on my card - he is 0-2-1

My cards (after fairly recent rewatches)

    Floyd 118-110 Canelo LOSS
    GGG 116-112 Canelo LOSS
    GGG 114-114 Canelo DRAW

The best I could give Canelo in GGG 1 was the draw he actually got.

In the rematch I could see it swing between 115-113 for both.
