Got my bet in early on the draw at 25/1 and I see those odds are already coming down. Did the same with Canelo/GGG at 30/1 and had a nice big win. Obviously there is more chance of this not going the distance but it's similar in that one guy is likely to win but they won't give it to him.
I think there`s a great chance it will go the distance, AJ is a very cautious fighter now that mainly feints from the outside trying to land 1-2`s and Fury is similar but mostly moves and jabs more, I feel the first 6 rounds will be like Wilder v Fury 1 up till the first knockdown, lots of missing and more jabbing and feinting with each fighter nervous of committing with big shots leaving themselves open, these two usually don`t get hit much in their bouts aside from one of two of their bouts and Fury`s early career bouts, one way or another thee will be tons of jabs and feints, look at at the Pulev bout.
I want to see the fight but it would be a disgrace to British boxing if a fight between two British Heavyweight world champions, one of the biggest fights in the history of boxing and THE biggest British fight in history, is to be held in Saudi Arabia.
Hearn hinting to iFL that the winner of the first fight will fight the winner of Joyce/Usyk which sort of means any rematch won’t take place until next year. Very disappointing this is taking place in Saudi for numerous reasons. I doubt the atmosphere will be great as at the current rate foreign travel will still be restricted even by summer.
Hopefully Sky can mix in a crowd noise like they do with the footy , that will take the atmosphere in Saudi up a notch.
It’s a shame that it has to be in Saudi but if they’re putting up the money then it has to be that way. People can say “X Y Z” dont care about money but we all know that it absolute bull, the fighters and everyone else want their slice. You can’t get a full crowd here because of the government, social distancing isn’t ending fully anytime soon despite this “roadmap”.
I don't think he's just talking the talk here Fury, I genuinely believe we'll see him trying to use his size and weight to try and bully and put it on Joshua early. The days of him using his footwork and flicking out a 'scoring' jab are gone imo. He hasn't got the legs for that game plan anymore. We saw against Wilder that he's adapted. There is obviously risk with that gameplan as he can easily walk onto a big shot but the risk of trying to fight on the back foot with a conservative style whilst dodging big shots is no longer viable for him and he knows it. Hence him going to the Kronk gym and turning himself into a front foot fighter.
Id be happy for them both to fight later this year esrly next then rematch in the summer at Wembley. IF they both win.
