Makes you really appreciate how good GGG is Canelo ran from him kind of like how Mayweather runs

Golovkin was walking him down beating him up in the first fight what a robbery why was canelo running?

The closest was deffo GGG 1.

I'd hesitate to say he was running, but he was being backed up all night for sure.

Lol, Canelo living in your head rent free. There are other boxers and boxing matches you can think about.

Yes, of course, but there is fair a difference to being backed up, and 'on your bike'.

Lol, and you would have done what if you were in the ring with Canelo?

Not sure why anyone would call a pro boxer who has the balls to sign up and fight another pro boxer a *****. Especially if that boxer beat their hero.

I prefer to watch boxing for good matches. I'm not into the whole fan girl thing.

Pretty obvious to me - even though GGG started that fight pretty slowly, he's the best fighter Canelo had been in with since Mayweather with probably the heaviest hands and best jab active too boot. Not really surprising to me that a counter-puncher would be backed up by Golovkin.

Canelo still exhibited great defense and head-movement in that fight - he backed up intelligently, so I see running as a stretch. But GGG was the ring general in that fight, pressed and any close rounds he won on my card due to that which IMO more than offset Canelo's sporadic (but often cleaner) shots.

This was the biggest difference to me in the rematch, where the roles were almost reversed - with GGG boxing beautifully, but on the back foot for much of it with Canelo holding the centre of the ring and not giving up ground anywhere near like he did in the first. So by the same token, I tended to give Canelo the close rounds in the rematch, but I felt that GGG got a lot of the cleaner shots in the 2nd, especially when Canelo visibly tired in 9-11.

I think getting through that 1st fight (let alone getting the extremely lucky draw decision) gave Canelo a ****-ton of confidence, which combined with GGG losing a step in the rematch contributed to the role reversal.

His movement depends on the opponent. Recently against larger opponents he's looking to get inside and keep them moving backwards, earlier when he was larger or evenly sized it was mixed.

The roles was not reversed to that extent canelo just never ran as much in the rematch Golovkin still won for me and hurt canelo 2 times in the rematch
