I will not believe any SMW can beat Froch until they physically do it.

Unstoppable force v immovable object. What a fight this would have been.
I'm a massive Carl Froch fan. I was at many of his fights, even met him once but I just can't make a case for him winning here. I think Canello's hands and feet would be too quick for Carl and when they trade it will be on Alvarez's terms. He'll engage and break off when it suits him.
Froch is going to have his moments in this one. Big moments, like Colin Jones did against Milton McCrory but ultimately, he loses on the cards.
We'd be talking about this one for years though.

Yes, they did (and then he beat Kessler), so I believe they can beat him. This ain't the gotcha you think it is.

    Froch close competitive UD.

But I could see Canelo doing good work as well in there. Wouldnt be completely shocked if his power, accuracy, and overall skills got him the nod.

Frock was an awkward durable aggressive skilled brawler. I don’t think canelo can shut him down. Frock was also pretty accurate and improves as the fight goes on. Froch also jab and moved and could surprise and exploit openings with his awkward style as well as being a good finisher.

canelo hasn’t fought anyone like froch. Also frock big. There both game, it’s not a slam dunk.

With all those layers Canelo is basically a walking Onion.

LMAO Canelo is not beating Calzaghe. Froch is a winnable fight but Calzaghe would absolutely box his face off.

I'd favour Canelo. His defensive skills and good chin would be the difference. He has the skills to be able to out box Froch early, Froch wasn't quick enough or crafty enough to box with Canelo it would take more than his jab to pick up enough rounds.

Froch would need to come from behind to try and overwhelm Canelo like he did vs Taylor. Canelo will fade and in the last 3rd I expect to see Froch come into the fight and make it exciting as he gets stronger while Canelo looks to survive the inevitable late surge from Froch. But Canelo is good enough defensively and durable enough to make it to the final bell to win a clear decision.

    "Froch can't..."

Yeah, I heard that many times before. Then Froch did, in every instance but one. And Canelo is no Andre Ward.

Froch isn't in the same league as Canelo, Ward and Calzaghe beat Canelo but not a limited one dimensional fighter like Froch
