Is there a good chance Fury v AJ will go the distance?

Yeah if Joshua wants to win is going to have to take the fight to Fury. If he can shut him down and dictate the range then he's in with a shout. Trying to out box Fury on the outside is a massive task. Really just hope it lives up to the hype

 

I could see the fight going many ways. When you get thinking fighters that tends to happen because they are going to strategize and adapt on the fly. These two are rather impressive for heavyweights.

 

Outboxing Fury is nigh impossible. It's a task i only see prime Ali and prime Holmes achieving. Yes Fury is a lot larger than these guys but Fury struggled with the mobility and slickness of Cunningham. Fury has improved since then but he has yet to fight a small mobile heavyweight since then as well. And we know Cunningham is no Ali or no Holmes

Joshua has to walk Fury down and break him down. Otherwise i just do not see him winning

 

Yeah can both move very well for there size. Agree think this one is going to be who brings the right tactics, like you said so many ways this one could go. See Fury trying to stay outside more this time round. I could be totally wrong there, think the first 6 rounds will be crucial. To be honest like them both so just hope it doesn't disappoint

Fury is going to fight cautiously in the first fight

The pattern of the fight is dictated by Fury and where he intends to make the fight. He isnt going to want to be at mid range, as that is where AJ is strongest. He is going to either want to be on the outside or right up close.

This lends itself to Fury fencing on the outside and out jabbing AJ to a unanimous decision. AJ will want to leap in to get into mid range, but I think Fury is able to see it all coming.


Fury isnt going to be able to fight like he did against Wilder in the 2nd fight, because AJ is exceptionally good at putting fast/big combinations together at mid range. If he fights like that he plays to AJs main advantange over him and gets dropped.

 

Fury should adopt the same Wilder rematch strategy by starting fast and pushing AJ back. AJ while more skilled than Wilder has a poor gas tank, deplete him early

 

Fury isn't the biggest puncher and he isn't aggressive normally the exception is the second Wilder fight so its very likely it would go the distance.

I expect AJ to be more aggressive as trying to stand and box will most certainly play in to Furys hands as I expect Fury to box like he did against Klitschko.

If Fury is aggressive then I'd favour AJ, if Fury boxes at range and keeps moving then I'd favour him.

 

Nope. A man like Joshua can't compete with a man like Tyson Fury. a slick 6’9 275 pounds switch-hitting monster with 12 rounds gas tank that moves like a middleweight. It has never existed before.

 

I must admit, this does have a 12 rounder written all over it.

I don't see either man gaining a big advantage overall, and, as can often happen in these kind of events, it may end up a cagey, rather tactical affair that will be great for the purists but not especially entertaining for the casual.

Of course, i could well be completely wrong and it'll be a tear up like no other...I hope so, anyway.

 

This fight will be an absolute snoozefest, it will definitely go 12 rounds
