The on his next interview he says the complete opposite. tbf I actually like him when he’s being himself but he turns into a complete parody of himself 90% off the time
It's the lack of self awareness I think. The "wants to be left alone" thing summarises it quite nicely. From the fake mates stuff with Joshua/Chisora or whoever else.. the cringeworthy worship of Usyk after he was beaten.. the genuine dislike of Fury (wanting to fight him at his lowest point) all because, I think, of the comments Fury made about him and Price all those years ago. It's the same sort of reasons why people seem to dislike Anthony Fowler and Shannon Courtenay - the recurring theme with all is a lack of self awareness.
Each their own but there is no way i would read a book about Tony Bellew, especially one written from 'his pov' and its as simple as that.
Can you stop making thread on Anthony, Tony died, RIP Tony, Anthony wants to be left alone, he just wants to spend time with his family away from the spotlight and media. Poor Anthony is forced on to Sky Sports at gunpoint, forced to write books, he was forced to make an OnlyFans account.. forced to tweet and so on and so on, the suffering never ends. If you buy this book and draw attention to Anthony then you are prolonging his suffering, the best thing to do is ignore it so Anthony can finally begin his new life as a normal member of the public and finally be the family man he always dreamed of being.
When Bellew talks about non Matchroom stuff he’s good it’s when he’s shouting at ringside and scoring fights for Matchroom fighters when they obviously got beat that he’s annoying
Well, I guess I asked for it. Some quite funny responses here and I agree that, on Sky doing Matchroom shows, Tony's a bit cringy but he was great value as a Fighter. When he speaking from the heart or taking a pop at his dreadful dress sense, he's an interviewer's and listener's dream. A few of you though, must just be jealous, a bit like those Football fans who scream hatred at their own team's players because they have unhappy lives.
Remember when Soccer AM used to be pretty much part of the weekend routine? Loved that show, shame its gone the way it has.
7 days since the BJS fight and not a peep from him. Couldn't wait to stick his oar in prefight though
