I was never really impressed by Martinez but i think he gets the job done tonight. Burgos struggles with footwork, speed and angles and being out for another 14 months at his age and with the amount of fights he had i think we could potentially see the first real shot version of him. Wouldn't be shocked. Or at least a rapidly declining version.

Nah, I was just ****ing with you. I don't care that much. But I did care about the Saunders one. But I know you cared as much as I did. So, no big deal. It ended up being one of the most depressing outcomes in quite some time. So I'm kind of happy it wasn't mine.

That being said, over the last year or two, I've morphed into an ardent Nery hater, and I genuinely think he's getting brutally KTFO tonight. He's always been open to looping overhand and short left hooks, those are Brandon's two best punches, and he hits a hell of a lot harder than Villanueva and Tabugon. This will be Brandon's coming out party most likely, and God knows, the Figueroa needs something happy to happen to them, after that Omar atrocity a few weeks back.

Not a chance, Burgos is beyond shot at this point, and I'd probably pick Marrero to KO him. Yeah, Martinez kind of disappointed me in his last outing, but Burgos doesn't hit hard enough and struggles mightily with movers. Marinez will outbox him for the first few rounds adn then go for the kill, and most likely stop him.

I guess the question really is, how shot does Miniburgos have to be for someone like Martínez to become first to stop him?

His nickname (Pantera) together with his surname (Neri) make the Italian phrase "Black Panther".

I've never rated Brandon, he has the same defenses problems like his brother (thankfully not nearly as bad) and Nery with his heavy handedness and killer instinct should be levels above him. However it is Nery we are talking about, a dude who is a constant **** up.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Brandon pulls off a Margarito-Cotto type performance in putting Nery on his heels & leaning on him a lot in the midst of the exchanges to attempt to tire him out, which if he doesn't absorb too much damage early could pay dividends later on.

Oh ok I get that level! I was trying to see if you could split the words differently or if it might be the feminine form of Gerald Washington's nickname.

    Overthinking it here!

Nerys power is a total questionmark and unproven at 122.

In his first fight at 122 he faced a tough and strong young guy and was arguably beaten by 8 to 4 rounds or at least 7 to 5. Didn't even come close to a stoppage. And it was the first real test size-wise for him and he struggled badly.

Well...NERY overall is a total questionmark at 122.

Figueroa literally kills him in my opinion if he can take the power which i think he will be able to do.

I didnt know neri meant black in italian. I only said it because it sounds catchy, I've always liked his nickname.

What you told makes the nickname even better XD

What the ever loving **** is going on with his hideous beard in that pic? He looks like one of the Werewolf Boys of Zacatecas, only half shaven. Does he have a hairlip, as in, actual hairy lips?

Anybody seen this kid Valenzuela? I just looked and he was on the Spence vs. Porter undercard, but just one person acknowledged the fight in the RBR (and just to say that it was starting) and then nobody commented on it...and his fights have otherwise been on the deep non-televised portions of undercards.

Aside from him, the prelims (starting in a little over an hour now) haven't really got much of interesting going on, save the pro debut of Gabriela Diana Fundora (the sister of Sebastian "Towering Inferno" Fundora, the like nine foot tall junior middle)
