Don't quite understand what on earth is going on here? Are they all trying to throw each under the bus? All they all trying to claim credit for pulling BJS out of the fight? Bizarre situation that clearly is showing tension between Ben the PE teacher Davison and Mark Minge Tibbs.
Him an Ben don’t get on then, that’s crystal clear. I think Ben might catch attitude being a soft bloke, I feel he’s a bit of a target for people to unload on. Tibbs is a good trainer, I don’t think I’d be doing anymore talking if I was him on it though.
So he basically said what we all know Billy Jacked. 'Great fighter have done what Billy Joe Saunders has done, and bin in that position hes bin in and they come again' Nothing against it as its understandable but its his previous comments and statements against DDD that have everyone on him for it. Boxers should keep their mouths shut when it comes to jacking as it can always come and bite them on the backside as is the case with Bill. He has also been on record numerous times stating if he got beat he would hold his head up and say he got beat by the better man ect but i'm yet to hear anything of the sort. I still rate Billy very highly and think he will come again but he has to face the music and explain himself and his previous comments.
Tibbs would batter Davison. Tibbs lot have legit gangland connections, I think Davison should just step down here and stick to training his own fighters. Davison tweeted shortly after this video “let the fighter clarify” and then deleted it. **** the YouTube fights, if Hearn wants to deliver some quality “freakshow” fights he should make a few bouts between trainers. Davison v Tibbs as chief support to Ingle v Derrick James would be a solid night.
Sociol media these days eh. Tibbs clearly letting off some steam as everyone has been harassing him over the fight. Stating that Davison had his "20 seconds" clearly shows Ben likes the limelight and Tibbs ain't keen on him. The "dialogue" between Billy and Mark more than likely shows Billy knew the fight was over.
It’s clear, Davidson being in the corner was not a decision made by Tibbs - as he said he turned up on fight morning. Was he sent by MTK? Mark mentioned before the fight, that there was a last minute effort to get his dad over to help in the corner - perhaps Billy wasn’t 100% confident with him.
Brent Davison is the biggest clown in boxing. He’s embarrassing. What was he even doing involved in this fight anyway? He’s not the trainer. Anything to get some attention and he’s involved. You knew he’d be involved in this fight somehow even though he had no right to be. The IFL and MTK propaganda is out there as expected, with the line to be that BJS didn’t quit. Tibbs will definitely be leaving BJS after this, Davison is a **** stirrer who cannot be trusted.
Davison is an idiot, drunk on his own perceived self-importance. He thinks he’s some oracle and boxing philosopher the way he talks. He’s an absolute bluffer.
Davison did a good job with Tyson Fury up to a point. I think his "fat camp" conditioning and motivation are undeniable. He did a fine job. He didn't add anything to Fury's boxing game at all, but he got him fit and motivated, and without him it's possible Fury would never have made it back.
Mark Tibbs says in this video 'great fighters have done what Billy Joe Saunders has done.. and come again'. He was asking BJS if he wanted to continue and BJS was saying he couldn't see out of his eye.. Mark Tibbs didn't get the response he wanted and 'had a duty of care to Billy Joe' so rightly pulled him out. Ben Davison is now saying he basically made the decision to pull out Billy Joe (who he says really wanted to continue) even though it seems he was nothing really to do with the team / camp. All videos apart from Ben Davison one have been taken down. I think it will come out he hasn't broken his eye and history will be rewritten that it was Ben Davison who took the decision to pull him out even though BJS was saying he wanted to fight on. Someone I know is waiting for similar surgery after fracturing his eye socket mountain biking.. after a week assessment he now has to wait a week for swelling to go down.. also after serious eye surgery you have to wait around a week to fly.. All the videos were saying he was in hospital, he was having surgery day or two after fight which had gone well and was flying home day after that. BJS could have quit on the ring walk for all I care, I'm a casual fan who paid £1.99 to watch but it all seems a bit strange.
I watched a podcast with Ben Davison and whilst he articulates himself well, he does have a habit of letting his tongue get ahead of his brain. Wasn't he trying to tell everyone that Daniel Kinahan was nothing other than a legitimate businessman a couple of weeks ago? Mark Tibbs and his family have a long history in the sport and I would not be surprised if he does a Curtis Woodhouse and rolls up on Davison when he returns after the Josh Taylor fight. Billy Joe Saunders not releasing a statement either personally or via MTK along with his absence from social media in the last week tells you all you need to know. He wanted to be pulled out of the fight at the end of the eighth round and Davison is just trying to curry favor with his friend and potential new boss. Not once did Saunders give an indication that he wanted to continue whilst sitting on the stool, he shook his head a couple of times and looked resigned to the fact that it was all over and his eyes remained focused on Tibbs the whole time. The fact Mark Tibbs is not saying what was said in the corner say's a lot about him and his character and is a habit that Ben Davison should focus on developing.
