Buatsi showing good offense and some defensive responsibilty but very open to counters, how far can he go?

    I don't know.
Does not looks that he had fought any one live body from real top 100.
    No joke there.
While he does have good power he looks that is vulnerable if he he will not improve.
I don't think that he had won this one if he had Yarde or Bolotņiks in the ring instead of this his last opponent.

Maybe he will improve, we will see.

Let's get him in the ring with what we all consider a live opponent.

Somebody who can dig a little bit too.. something isn't right with Buatsi in my opinion.

They are dragging him a long at a snails pace, after the fight the Sky interviewer mentioned Craig Richards and Hearn just sort of glossed over it, didn't commit to a fight like that just said "the next one has to be a step up"

A step up from that French fighter won't be that hard to find, he was poor. Don't misunderstand me, it was a great shot to finish the fight but Buatsi was in almost zero danger and you could see that within a couple of minutes.

There are many good domestic fights Buatsi can have but they seem intent on Eurobums, and let's not forget the mocking of Yarde.

Hearn was one of the people questioning Yarde and his opponents, but at least he has fought Kovalev and Arthur, who has Buatsi fought?

With some fighters Hearn bangs on about lack of amateur experience and that's the reason they are not fast tracked.. Buatsi is an Olympic Medalist, what's the excuse here?

    Kovalev in Russia.
We most likely never will read up thing: Buatsi will fight in Russia vs boxer from Russia.

Dos Santos was touching Buatsi every round...jabs, hooks, straights and uppercuts. He's there to be hit.
Granted, he's got a big punch, but he reminds me a Allan Green.

He reminds me of Nigel Benn in the 80`s at 160.

Are we really giving Buatsi credit for beating up the French? Have we come to this?

    Yeah, I agree with this.
However Yarde already had proven some things: he had proved that he does have balls when he took in the ring Kovalev in Russia.
Lad had proved that he might have real courage and despite limited attempted to do all the best he was able to do then.
If he had better gas tank, he had won vs Kovalev before Kovalev had been in the ring vs Canelo.
He looked tired and with not enough good gas tank for Kovalev + still Kovalev then barely had dealt with him due his experience.
The experience difference between Kovalev and Yarde was too high then.

Yarde I think had more power than BJS and this Kovalev version.

There are 2 lads I gave big personal " credit " for fights vs Kovalev: these guys are Eleider Alvarez and Yarde, especially cos he had fought vs Kovalev in Russia.

    No.
When he will beat up any one who will remain in boxrec top 100 after fight vs Buatsi even if Buatsi will KO him, then we will knew that he at least might be competitive with top 100 real level boxers.

To beat mismatched bags in rows is easy task.

Maybe Buatsi really is very good top level boxer, he just needs to be tested with not old, in good shape top level material boxer with decent notice period, and if boxer will remain in top 100 after lost fight vs Buatsi, then maybe for Buatsi too will be cool starting to get respect.

No but he`s coming along nicely, just give him time to develop, Rome wasn`t built in a day.

Yarde is a lot bigger than BJS who hasn`t never fought at 175.

I think Yarde does have more 1 punch physical pure power than Kovalev from Yarde fight.
He looks that just didn't had enough decent level experience and also should had better gas tank.

Is he at a stage in development yet where we can match him up against someone who won't literally turn their back and run away from him?

He turned over a bum. There's not much more you can take away from it.
