    One LHW in Kovalev.
I really wish to be friendly with you and suggest " waste " time by watching these fights: Kovalev vs Eleider Alvarez I and Kovalev vs Yarde to some sense about Kovalev over the hill.
I suggest this so called wank parade is almost absolutely total hype for Canelo and his fans.
How cool and great hometown boxer is Canelo.

Canelo is Ottke II at first.
Both of them had all notable pro fights in only 1 alone single country as tickets sellers.
And nope, Canelo is not better than Ottke in Germany. Worse cos he not likely might manage to get him down.
With this : cards for Ottke.

I remember the talk at the time, rumor had it Roy told HBO not to mention Michalczewski after his fights or else. They were bringing him up but then suddenly it stopped. I remember Michalczewski put out a full page add in a American boxing magazine challenging Roy Jones, with a big picture of himself. In Michalczewski's prime right after the Hill fight would have been Dariusz best chance, but Roy was phenomenal. Over time Dariusz skills deminished and he would have probably got beat bad.Even with deminished skill Dariusz was fun to watch, he was very rugged and always got stronger as the went on.

It doesnt require one word at all Herol.
I have said before specify prime. Prime used to suit agendas. Like saying what were their best wins when past prime?
Was F Mayweathers best win M Pacquiao? If so were either prime.

Maybe you can assist with prime and give me an example of Canelos best win of a prime opponent

Look forward to having another laugh at your reply

Canelo became pro at 15, Golovkin at 24.

In fact, Canelo debuted a year before Golovkin.

His ring age at 36 means absolutely nothing in regards to his standing.

Lol. Kovalev boxed his best fight against Canelo. Picked his shots, stood behind the jab, kept Canelo at a comfortable distance, but as always Canelo figured him out and timed him to win by KO.

I remember seeing the add in a boxing magazine
I think I recall which magazine it was and can recall some of what was written
It was a big call out by putting an add for anyone to see in a publication

    "rumour had it", huh?
and after DM put out an ad in an american boxing magazine, how many fights did he have in the US to garner interest from the US networks, and so the casual fan in the US knew who he was?

ottke, DM, sturm, steiglitz, abraham (at MW) - not one of them fought the best fighter in his division in their entire career.
    guess why that is?

no, it means he values $$$ over ambition.

you say not to compare DM to sturm and ottke, but they all did the same thing :

    stay at home
    milk a paper title
    don't fight in the US
don't fight the best in their division, or their era.

yeah my point wasn't to validate a comparison at LHW, but rather criticise the recent trend on the forum of mythical fights where one of the fighter's career was never in a position to get that sort of quality opponent.

i've asked bailey 3-4 times over the past few days to nail down the best opponent calzaghe/DM fought who was in their prime over 94 fights, and he can't give me a straight answer.
