Fixed fight. 12 rounds tame sparring session, with a couple of moments of fabricated 'drama'. Controversial split decision or draw. Rematch for December. Unfortunately this is what has been agreed by the men who pull the strings.
If it's a 2-fight contract, then it's definitely dodgy. I heard it isn't a 2-fight contract now though, but they will find a way to guarantee a second fight while keeping both fighters relatively unharmed through the first one.
Is it a two fight deal ? Hearn said the Saudis haven't signed themselves up to that. If it is a two-fight deal, it's blatant anyway. That's open invitation for the fix. I hope I'm wrong. But reading between the lines, it seems like it's all been agreed. We shall see.
That's why you have to do it, if fight one is a one sided boxing lesson who's going to watch fight two? Or maybe it will all be normal, I don't know anything.
I don`t think Fury is going to land as much as he did v Wilder, AJ is better defensively than Wilder and more cagey, I think it will be tight early on till someone steps up the pace and lands a big one.
Why not? If it's a one sided massacre it's still going to be a massive deal to a lot of people. A one sided slaughter, if it's intense, is still better than a 12 round boring fight.
And also Wilder has nothing if you come at him, where as AJ is the strongest fighter in close range, so Fury will have to be very careful.
At the end of the day it will be what it will be, every time there's a big event there's paranoid or cynical people immediately assuming the worst.
Both really. I'm guessing Fury decision will be the betting favorite followed by Joshua KO. So depending how they look I'll bet in one of those directions.
