I always thought he should’ve been at 168lbs. If he makes weight at this late juncture in his career, it kind of proves my point correct. I agree though, can’t see it going well.
Did anyone catch the Sharks-Rabbits game on the weekend? They panned to Huni sitting on the fence line and Gal sitting on the sidelines in front of him. Then Gal gave him the finger ha ha ha. Got a good reaction from the QLD crowd. It was pretty cringy..Justis looks like a sweet kid, a bit over awed by it all. Don't worry mate Uncle Paul with drum up plenty of interest for this bout. Get you a good deposit on your first house.
Yeah I caught it Huni gave Gallen the Gladiator thumbs down and Gallen responded by flipping him the bird. Like you said it was cringey.
It was all just a misunderstanding. Justis simply wanted to know how many origin series Gal had won. https://www.sportingnews.com/au/box...nd-suncorp-stadium/1g9c5y50h5y6p198hm1bn5fkw6 Live press conference tomorrow (Tuesday) 11:00am.
Interesting to see Andrei Mikhailovich v Alex Hanan scheduled on the Huni v Gallen card. They've been at each other on social media for a few years now trying to get this fight to happen.
Just watched the first five minutes to hear what Dean Lonergan had to say. He confirmed he wants two fights with Gal - both before & after the Olympics for marketing purposes. No-one out there generates as much interest as an opponent as Gal in key demographics NSW & Qld. Gal is the vehicle they're using to get Justis Huni known by general sports fans. Brock Jarvis on the undercard against TBA. They wanted to match him with the current Australian Junior Lightweight champ but he's out injured with a broken hand. Two undefeated Kiwis on the undercard as well b/c the show is being televised into New Zealand. The winner might end up getting matched with the Headsplitter.
Browne is trying to get a rematch with Gallen claiming Gallen cheated by beating him with rabbit punch's.
Tszyu- Zerafa in doubt because of an injury to Michael? Whats the inside info on this one boys? Not sounding good.
Zerafa is in the hospital. LKabruna says he will give him a few days and if he is not ok until then fight is off. I assume its not that bad a injury if he says that.
7 weeks until Showtime for Michael Zerafa so he should be okay. After a trip to Sydney to announce the fight, then another one up to Newcastle for the unveiling of the "Tszyucastle" Entertainment Centre & then another trip to Sydney scheduled for yesterday, maybe he just wasn't feeling up to it. Hoping he's okay b/c we will end up with an underdone & undersized Lenny Z as the opponent if he pulls out. Looking forward to what we've got coming up. Justis Huni v Christian Tsoye isn't attracting much attention but I think that fight will tell us exactly where Justis Huni is at so I'm looking forward to it. The Headsplitter versus that tough Kiwi as well. That's next Wednesday night. Then if Huni takes care of business, the hype will be off the chart for Justis v Gal three weeks later. Hopefully some decent undercard fights. Then we've George v Teo Lopez later in June & Timmy Tool Train v Michael Zerafa first week in July. Then onto the Olympics & our first ever Gold in the boxing. I saw our Silver medal in 1988 but am looking to go one better this year.
* Isaac Hardman offered a rematch to Tej Singh for May 26 but it turns out Singh is in the States and Hardman says he is also fighting on June 16. Teremoana vs Jackson Murray also added to this same date.
Wow great to see two big young lads putting their 0 on the line so early. Ill be rooting for Jackson, seen a lot more of him in the ams but really could go either way.
