I agree he has fought no one.

    But...

He passes the eye test BY FAR. At least my eye test. I like what I see when I see his boxing skills. It's easy to look good smashing tomato cans? sure. Now it's time to know if he will step up, or he will be another tomato can smasher (I will not mention anyone, in order not to hurt sensibilities).

But he passes the eye test... oh boy, yes he does.

Yarde is a bum, btw. I will not even bother to compare them both. At least buatsi passes the eye test, yarde never did.

    Blenda got pureed.

He was honestly a step backwards but perhaps matchmakers didn't think he would be that bad.

I like JB, he isn't a jaw droppingly spectacular prospect or anything but has the potential to be at least as good as some of the weaker titlists that have bagged a trinket in recent years.

He has been stuck on this level for opposition for a couple of years and this last bloke was even worse. This weekend had a quite a few examples of why unbeaten on paper can be very misleading.

I heard they were looking at Blake Capparello but he got upset recently.

Well, I think there are at least 5 or more boxers in U.K who are really better than any one Buatsi had fought in pro fight.
Amateur experience, there yeah, he had boxed vs world class elite boxers : Olympic trials and Games.

He might be tested with some 2-5 british boxers.

"Only" 14?! So when does he get matched up by someone who presents enough of a challenge that they don't feel obligated to do their best Monty Python impression and "RUN AWAY!!" from Buatsi; 20? 25? 40? 14 fights is a lot mark - especially now - to be wasting time crushing cans.

Did they release any word on Dos Santos' condition? He was in a very bad state after the fight.

Show me the 14th fights of both men where their opponents literally ran away from them in the ring, and you have the beginnings of a possible point. Until then, the names you just quoted are meaningless. In fact, given who Marvin's 15th opponent was, they're less than meaningless. I'm not asking for world contenders or even guys with winning records (though that WOULD be nice!) I'm asking for people who you legitimately think can stand up to Buatsi and give him a fight.

But by all means, let's keep the kid gloves on him until it's time to 'step up' after an arbitrary number of obviously overmatched opposition. Worked wonders for Daniel Dubois.
