Perhaps you should aim your fire at Bob Arum and Frank Warren. Al Haymon is merely enforcing the terms of the contract.

I'm not even referring to this specific instance.

Wishful thinking that Fury beats AJ.

As a manager Al Haymon is looking after his fighters best interests. Fury’s choices are simple pay Wilder off to take AJ fight or fight him in the rematch by 15 September. Pretty straight forward options.

It is because Usyk is going to get there first it seems, it’ll be off working at JD sports for his royal humbleness.

Or, ignore that ruling which has no jurisdiction outside of the U.S and take the Joshua fight - which is the only fight worth making.

    Hahahaha..."the big, stiff, humble one".

    Love it.

Just imagine Wilder vs Joshua sold as "The Whining Windmill" versus "The Big, Stiff, Humble One".

You are now getting into complicated questions about Jurisdictional issues and conflict of laws/private international law. What makes you think that other jurisdictions won’t side with this judgment. Presumably Fury and his team willing submitted to the jurisdiction the matter was heard in.

Usyk is going to need to do a lot better than he did against Chisora to stand a chance because AJ will swallow him up.

He won nearly every round and Chisora fights nothing like AJ.

The same could be said in regards to AJ having to perform better than his last 3 fights to beat Usyk.

What makes you think other jurisdictions WILL side with the U.S judgement?

American governing bodies don't even agree from state to state.

Fury might well find he couldn't box, for argument sake, in Vegas - but could still fight in N.Y state, or Texas, or another state.

Ultimately, all the while it drags out in the courts, or while he potentially appeals, he'll be allowed to continue fighting.

Personally, I believe in principles like your word is your bond, and I think Fury and his team gave Wilder ample opportunity, repeatedly, to make things happen...and Wilder wasn't interested.

Now, as the unification bout is revealed and dates confirmed there is suddenly an announcement?

    How very, very convenient.

Even you must admit, the timing is priceless and designed for maximum disruption.

Fury and Joshua should fight and then worry about the case later.

There is nothing to stop them fighting August 14th.

This judgement has no actual bearing on this, save for the assumption everyone is making that it won't go ahead because Fury couldn't fight AJ in mid August then Wilder in mid September.

But, he could agree to that.

It would highly unlikely...unprecedented, even, but not impossible.

First of all I am a highly qualified lawyer so I know what I am talking about. Your word is your bond is not the issue the issue is Team Fury put themselves in a bind. Dispute resolution such as litigation or arbitration can be a crap shoot. This was going on in the background all the time. Bob Arum thought there was a loophole in the contract but clearly Al Haymon knew there was not. Don’t flout or try to flout judgments because this can lead to jail if you contravene court orders. The issue is contractual so Team Fury need to deal with it and quickly.

If you are a "highly qualified lawyer" you ought to know that the decision of a U.S Court has no weight outside the U.S.

It's irrelevant unless Fury intends to do business in the U.S in the future.

If he doesn't, he can ignore it with zero repercussions.

This isn't a criminal offence, where some kind of international arrest warrant will be issued.

Never mind the fact the he is entitled to refute the entire premise of the dispute by showing he repeatedly attempted to negotiate in good faith and was ignored numerous times.

This is the story we've been fed in the media, at any rate.

Regardless, this ruling cannot stop the August fight.

It cannot control who Fury fights before September.

The sole reason this is being presented as a problem is because the assumption is Fury couldn't face Joshua in mid August then Wilder in mid September.

They could try and bring the AJ fight forward 6 weeks, and/or try and negotiate to push the Wilder fight back.

Wilder could get step aside money, assurances of a fight against the winner, whoever that is, for all the belts and a huge payday.

However, knowing the poor advice/management he has, he'll probably refuse.
