AJ vs Usyk + Fury vs Wilder 3 before the undisputed fight = A good thing?

Fury and his team have often made comments that indicate they worry about how long absence from the ring would effect them, and I think we can agree morbidly obese Andy and ageing pulev were exactly good workouts for AJ before the Fury fight.

Although it's a massive risk for both, perhaps Fury getting to fight someone in top 10 like Wilder one last time, who coincidentally has also been out of the ring for the same amount of time so it works both ways, and also AJ being tested vs Usyk....

Maybe this would actually be better so there'll be no excuses going into Fury v AJ 1, as they'll both get an actual work out before hand?

It's hilarious how Wilder has been reduced to be regarded as a "tune up" for Fury now.

We are getting 2 good fights before the big one. Whats wrong with that? I actually prefer having AJ v Usyk and Wilder v Fury in the next coming months and a chance for AJ vs Fury end of year. If both AJ and Fury are the two best as we expect then they should win. If they lose then the AJ v Fury fight was not worth the hype simple as that. Both guys do their job and make the big fight happen end of the year.

No, because Usyk is going to dominate and stop Joshua. So the superfight will be derailed once again.

Because that's all he is. I'd be more worried if Fury had to fight Whyte LMAO

Not a good thing. The last time we had an undisputed Heavyweight Champion was in 1999 after Lennox Lewis beat Evander Holyfield.

It's 2021. We've waited a long ****ing time. I'm not interested in seeing Wilder get beat up again; at this point he's purely a distraction. Wilder needs a tune up/confidence builder. He needs to look good before he gets back in the ring. Bring on Fury vs Joshua first.

Surely, it doesn't deserve to be the superfight, if that's the case.
If AJ can't beat Usyk, then Usyk deserves to be the superfight opponent for Fury.

An undefeated Gold Medalist with one of the trickiest styles in the division is now what? Chopped liver? Usyk is three or four levels above Andy Ruiz Jr.

Yep this is the big risk. I give Usyk a 40% chance of beating Joshua and Wilder has a chance of knocking Fury out.

Add in the WBC mandatory to the mix and basically the chances of the undisputed fight happening is pretty slim. Its now or never if they want to have Joshua V Fury for all the belts.

I had the fight 9-3 as well, but some of the other rounds were close, but usyk just nicked them.

I had Usyk winning 6-7 rounds clearly, 2-3 were close, the other were Chisoras.

It was a clear victory, but it was COMPETITIVE fight. Domination is, for example, Fury vs Wilder 2 where one fighter is barely in the fight or not in the fight at all. This wasn't domination.

I don't need any help interpreting the fight, I'm simply saying that despite Usyk won clearly, it wasn't absolute domination, and Chisora did worry him. I'm not just looking at the scorecards, I'm looking at the behaviour on the night.

Usyk didn't look very comfortable and I expected a lot more from him. I expected him to do a much better job of evading Chisora.

Chisora caught him far too many times for my liking, and if Chisora can catch him and make him as uncomfortable as he made him at times, I fear he Usyk will struggle against the better heavies.

If this fight doesn't happen first, there will not be an undisputed fight.

I'm not sure who loses but one of them will.
