Eddie has the look of a man who has the weight of the world on his shoulders. Wonder where this puts him with his relationship with the Saudi's he has negotiated with?

Well, the issue is completely the other side.

Nothing really to do with Hearn.

Im sure, behind the facade hes furious.

I want to know what he had for dinner. I don't think he will have to go down the Tesco meal deal route just yet.

This isn't Hearn's fault. He got a great deal with the site fee. Rematch in the UK in Dec 2020 if massive no matter the result. Wilder should fight Ruiz jr, Usyk vs Joyce and give Whyte an easier fight in America and 2022, we need quicker fights. Should be 3 massive fights for the undisputed in 2022. I think a Undisputed Heavyweight title draws huge. Can have your US stadium show, UK stadium show, Saudi show likely again. Massive amount of money to be made. The fans get the fights. I just want to see the fights.

There are many people to blame and Hearn is one of them.

We've had "any day now" from Hearn for months, Hearn telling us nobody else is doing anything and it's all him.

If Hearn went to the trouble of securing funds, securing a site them I am going to assume he insisted on seeing something almost guaranteeing this judgement would fall in Fury's favour.

What sort of moron would just take the word of a lawyer you don't personally know?

You have the Saudis building a venue and Hearn didn't see any paperwork regarding this arbitration?

Did not get anybody else to look at anything?

I believe this a bulldozer effort to force this fight through, I honestly believe they thought too much money was involved for anybody to attempt to block it.

They had the governing bodies onside and had got the WBO to let them do another two fights without a mandatory.

It's backfired horrifically unless Wilder can be dealt with and Hearn didn't do himself any favours in IFL interviews and other interviews teasing the fight without it being offical, it was stupid and Hearn looks stupid.

He says he is all about the details and he misses the biggest potential problem.

Hearn takes a large slice of the blame.

To be fair, OG Bob is qualified lawyer and he was very confident the arbitrator would rule in their favour so I wouldn't be surprised if there was some skullduggery at play regarding that.

It's not Hearn's fault. He got a $155M deal. This is the gateway to huge fights. We need an active heavyweight division. Bob Arum is snide. Warren hasn't a clue. Sneaky operation.

Like I say, If you are doing deals that big, you check EVERYTHING YOURSELF.

You don't let any possible problem go unchecked and this was the biggest potential problem.

    Dental costs, mate. :aaaaa:

I suppose if we get Joshua vs Usyk and Fury vs Wilder then it is not so bad. Really wanted Fury vs Joshua and made plans for the night.

    Look, this could still happen.

The Saudis might pay Wilder off, they have the money and want this fight.

If not then.. they might invite Wilder and his team to the Embassy for tea and a conversation.
