Where there is a will, there is a way.

And the WBC always seem to find a way.

I'm not really understanding some of the legal side, I've heard people say Fury can't fight anybody else even if he vacates, they could get injunctions against TV companies.

Because anybody else Wilder would fight wouldn't generate the same money or something so they could sue for loss of earnings.

I don't know who that would work, I think the bottom line is they have to please Wilder.

Sadly I think Fury might easier to deal with Wilder again than vs A.J.
Btw not because he already had did this one 2 times.
A.J does have 2 hands capable to debilitate, Wilder: 1 hand.
This matters damn a lot. While being I think skilled boxer, he had too high number with easy opponents, stuff that turned him into 1 handed boxer.
Old Ortiz caused him a lot of problems and court or no court, 1 boxer known in Europe and Eurasia Wilder had in the ring does have name : Tyson Fury.

So basically you think that any contract signed isn’t valid if the parties aren’t from the same country?

I am sure the contract spells out what the ramifications are for not abiding to the arbitration that is agreed to as part of that contract. And is probably written in a way that both parties agree that is is binding in all pertinent countries, which means any judge in said countries would have to back it up.

But that’s not even the rub here: the way it is handled at the top levels in boxing is that promoters are also parties to the contract — Top Rank in this case (if this contract is like every other big fight contract in the world) is legally bound to produce its client (Fury) for the fight. And Top Rank IS a U.S. company, one that Fury has signed with. It would also probably have language that Top Rank cannot provide Fury for another fight until this contract is fulfilled, so no AJ fight could take place with Top Rank as a party to it ... and Top Rank could not and would not release Tyson Fury so he can go fight elsewhere and them lose all that money.

Fury and Top Rank are bound to the ruling. Arum has already said so. There’s a reason they placed a hold on the stadium in Las Vegas for Fury-Wilder III regardless of if Arum has said he thought they’d win the arbitration.

I'm blaming him for getting the fans hopes up for AJ vs Fury when we didn't even know the outcome of the court decision. He jumped the gun. He kept saying things like "one more week" and the fight is almost done when nothing could be further from the truth.

If he didn't know there even was a court case, like everybody else, then he's doing his job and telling the public what he thought were facts. Hearn had nothing to do with Fury-Wilder, and so none of the blame should be on him for this. He didn't know about an issue with the rematch clause, either. All he did, was try and make the fight. The promotor who should be blamed is Arum. It's obvious he's known about it for a while and that's why he keeps on saying that the fight isn't going to happen.

The fact that Arum kept tabs on the venue in Vegas for the trilogy means he probably didn't have much confidence in the arbitration. If people bothered to actually listen to Bob in interviews he has expressed doubts on multiple occasions that they'd win the case and go forward with undisputed. Also notice he didn't back Hearn up and mostly remained quiet letting him talk to the media constantly about how the fight was almost done.

Fury has just said on insta he has rejected the idea of giving Wilder stepping aside money after DW asked for $20 million to step aside.

Huh? I thought everyone with an ounce of boxing knowledge was aware of the court case. They mention it on boxing web sites, youtube channels, etc constantly every month. I find that very hard to believe. I know he didn't' have anything to do with the case personally, but I'm pretty sure I've heard him mention things indicating he hopes Wilder gets paid step aside money so it can happen. Even ESPN talked about this and it's been going on for nearly a year.

I wasn't saying Arum shouldn't be blamed, I am blaming Hearn for hyping up a fight that was literally impossible to make with a verdict in the court case.

Tyson talks much, much too much in my opinion, however I know lot folk seem to like it.
The money men are the ones who will be doing the talking re money, Saudi and co have much invested in a AJ vs Fury fight, ample money is available.

Your entire perception of the events are based on the headline of interviews. I know why you're so lost and confused.

I said it will still be a huge fight but no WBC belt will be a big factor.

It can no longer be sold as the first ever fight for the four major belts.

It won't be two champions taking each other on, it will be Fury challenging Joshua (the lineal stuff is just nonsense)

It wouldn't surprise me if Joshua wanted to renegotiate his contract for the fight if he already owns the belts that will be on the line, leading to another delay in proceedings.

This sucks. No one needs to see this fight again. The first one Fury won on points and was robbed, the second one he pummeled Wilder.
I know it's heavyweight boxing and anything can happen, but lets get a unification fight on sooner rather than later.
