Whats better?

  1. Unification fight all the way - AJ vs FURY

    76.8%
  2. Two for one - AJ vs USYK / FURY vs WILDER3

    23.2%

Whyte got overtaken for opportunity to be WBO mandatory by Usyk without Usyk throwing a heavyweight punch, Whyte has as you aware two wins over Chisora so that gotta beat Usyks mere one win hasn't it?;)

WBO making Usyk mandatory to date has meant little, as if Fury vs AJ did go ahead Usyk would still be waiting for long while yet.

The mandatory challenger status does annoy me, as if you have that status you should get the title fight, but alas boxers do not or at least do not in reasonable time frame, sanctioning bodies talk much but enforce little a lot of the time.

I completely agree Whyte does deserve a title shot. A shot at the WBC title. He is another fighter that has waited long enough. But it is a separate issue to Usyk. Though it shares some clear similarities.

But those are the WBO rules. Whyte knew he wasn't going to get anywhere with the WBO on that one. But fair play to him for trying.
It's strange, but I don't recall people having issues with all the fighters Crawford passed over when he went into an immediate title fight with Jeff Horn. But I could be wrong:

You are right. The governing bodies are clearly corrupt and prefer their belts to be attached to marquee fighters. Unfortunately, the only way fans can hold them accountable it seems is by continuing to talk about such things. But a lot of fans (on social media specifically) only seem to have an interest in seeing their favourite marquee fighters compete for the belts, rather than a desire to uphold rules that could define pro boxing as a competitive sport.

I acknowledge that I am pissing in the wind on this one.:pipi

Fury will shatter Wilder’s Glass Jaw in 2 or 3 rounds. Nobody wants to see a third fight. There is no point.

I wonder if Fury will be disinterested vs Wilder and get knocked out.

Maybe this will put a stop to the madness of endless rematch contracts. For the last 5 years Fury has fought Wilder and tuneups. Maybe Wallin will amount to something but his legacy will suffer.

I wouldn't mind if that got us Wilder AJ before Fury AJ. They need to do the big British fight regardless of belts

Deep down Hearn, AJ and the casuals will be breathing a collective sigh of relief knowing that they live to breath another day as a champion, little did they know if they pick Usyk they jumped in with another shark.

I think AJ vs Usyk is the fight between the two most talented in the division.

I would of preferred an unification fight though.

You know whoever wins the Fury vs Wilder 3 they would continue to avoid the best guys in the division. If Fury wins he would have one more easy fight to see out his contract before retiring. whilst if Wilder wins you know that he would continue to fight bums before retiring if he Whyte Mandatory is enforced.

Usyk is likely to beat Anthony Joshua.

So if Eddie Hills wants to make the fight between AJ and Fury he needs something a lot lower risk. I suspect we get Joshua against another 40 year old. Luis Ortiz would be perfect.

Usyk is way past his prime, and is terrible at HW. He should have never switch to the HW. You either do that early, or don`t do it at all. You don`t move into HW after 30+, where all the time you were being on low weight, and was fighting on low weight. You can do that, but your body need a lot of adjustment, and he doesn`t have that, cause he doesn`t have time, cause of his age.
He is 34 and a half, and has just 2 fight in HW, for the last 3 year, since he move from CW, which is a complete joke.
He doesn`t have even a slightest chance.
His reflex and speed are shot to **** and say this long time ago.
He getting out of his prime was obvious in the Tony Bellew fight. His footwork, reflex, speed, punch output, cardio, energy, call it are way way worst. And he have huge ring rust, and not adjust to HW even at all. He suffer some injuries at HW due to trying to gain weight, and that increase the process of losing his attributes.
He ain`t ready even at it slightest. He wasted 3 of his years fighting no one at HW, while he should have stayed in the CW and dominate, and get more matches per year, and earning more.

And everyone can check my track record on Usyk. I love this guy, and when he was on his prime he got it all, but his/team decision was terrible all over.

As far as Wilder - Fury we already see this 2 time, and Fury already beat that douchebag 2 time.
I have exactly zero interest in that fight. I have zero interest in that fraud Wilder.

I just don`t get how Fury team manage to f***** up that badly. I`m all for contract stuff to be respected, and when you have rematch clause to be ready to go fulfill it, but Wilder the rematch was all set, and Wilder run it twice-three time from it. For the first date he wasn`t ready. Then for the second and third he was injured. And that fraud was all hiding, until the deadline of the rematch expired.
Its absolutely normally for anyone to move on from here, just as Fury did.
I just don`t see how Wilder really have any legs. They either brought the judge, and its all corruption(highly) or Fury team did nothing and actually f***** up.
Anyway that rematch should have never happen.
This is a civil case. Fury can won if the go to court. And this will take long time. And i don`t see what Wilder can really do about it. Fury has his arguments, that he was ready to fight, that Wilder refused/postponed the fight and the deadline expired.
Wilder can cry all he want, but i don`t see him winning this in court.
    Its that simple.

    Total BS thread.
    1) Fury - Joshua needs to happen as they are the two best HWs at the moment.
    2) Joshua - Usyk has entertainment value but not more than #1.
    3) No real boxing fan wants to see Fury bitchslap Wilder for a third time.

I would certainly say so out of the both current versions. Like I've said before I'v don't believe Fury is anywhere near the level his was prior to retirement and hasn't fought a quality fighter in over 5 years.

He’s coming off a dominant win over Wilder, Wallin was a good fight which gave him the rounds he needed.

AJ is coming off beating a 38 and a 39 you and going 1-1 with an obese dwarf.

I would say Fury is coming off the better opponent.
