If these two fight (big if, I mean Fury hasn't fought a quality fighter since Wlad) I'd go with Usyk win mid to late KO or stoppage.

Sure AJ looks on the bulky side right now... He's not going to be the quickest he can be, nor as effective in later rounds as he could be.

    But.

Usyk hasn't got the sting to stop many at HW from just walking him down.

Usyk didn't exactly clown old Dereck, I can't see him going the distance with AJ.

Usyk is a good fighter and certainly has a chance at beating AJ, but no, it won't be a megafight. He just isn't a big draw, and that is coming from a huge fan.

Usyk vs AJ is a massive fight in Europe but not elsewhere.

Well considering AJ fans champion Parker and Whyte as legit fighters, a lot believing that they are in fact better than Wilder and Whyte arguably lost to Chisora and was behind in the rematch at the time of the stoppage and Chisora just got robbed by Parker and Usyk arguably lost 3/4 rounds against Chisora and was never in any trouble I think he’s doing just fine.

    Casuals, sure...

The version of Parker that fought AJ looked far better than the one that turned up against Chisora - real story of unfulfilled talent and inability to maintain standards IMHO.

Whyte again goes through phases, when he's motivated and training hard he looked like a contender - having been ducked by Wilder and stepped around by AJ, it's easy to understand why he'd be less motivated to stay at his best with titles not available.

None of this is necessarily to say that Delboy is garbage, he's an awkward fight for most guys, but he's seen as a gatekeeper for good reason.

Usyk fought pretty well and was always comfortable on the cards - it just wasn't quite as dominant as I'd have liked to be able to call him a genuine threat... But then it's also fair to suggest he was a bit ring rusty, not at his fittest and perhaps Chisora isn't the best motivation for him either.

I'm fine with being proved wrong, infact I'm almost always happy when the better technical boxer wins the fight - I just haven't seen enough from Usyk at HW to have much confidence in his chances, yet.

Isn't Usyk semi-represented by Matchroom and would be represented by them if an AJ fight came off?

As a result of this Hearn isnt going to rob him blind, Hearn may seen Usyk as a safer pair of hands with those belts than AJ.

AJ has severe vulnerabilities in terms of punch resistance and stamina. Usyk is a much more accomplished fighter and is extremely difficult to beat, as he doesnt have any glaring weaknesses.

AJ would still be a headline fighter and big money maker on PPV even if he got beat again. Look at Chisora and Whyte for evidence of that...

So Hearn may not actually care who wins this one.
