Yeah ? but why Arum is the guy always making biggest fights in the recent memory ? Like two Unification fights in less than 9 months time. P.S. I don't like Arum.
Because he is not matching Anthony Joshua with competitve opponents like Usyk, Kownacki, Hunter, Ortiz etc.
Whyte is now according to Hearn a "PPV fighter" Chisora is now according to Hearn a "PPV fighter" Do I need to go on? OK Campbell Hatton now being force fed to the British Boxing fans, 3rd and 4th on the bill on PPV cards and his opponents... 0-10 and 0-4. A PPV CARD. Dave Allen, now retired but we had to put up with that walking punchbag for far too long. A gimmick of a "fighter" and Hearn stuck him on big cards, outrageous to be honest. David Price, another one, a LOSER, he has been missing recently but gets stuck on PPV events and Hearn is now talking about Hughie Fury Vs Price. Women's boxing, I've already had enough of it, Hearn says "we have a night of world title fights".. not saying they are all womens world title fights, I don't care, not bothered, I have zero interest. Unless Marshall fights Shields and then fair enough, I'll watch that. Hearns constant double standards, for example Buatsi is "learning" but Yarde didn't get the same pass, Dubois "quit" and needed to provide an X-ray but BJS didn't quit and his injury is legit because Hearn said so. AJ Vs Fury, Hearn banged on for months about legacy, history, undisputed, two British fighters, bigges britsh fight of all time... "it isn't about money, it's about history koogs", ANYWAY, RIGHT WE ARE OFF TO SAUDI ARABIA. F the BRITSH fans. And all the time British boxing fans are paying for it, PPV, for a bang average cards that Hearn has decided are now PPV events. Hearn is a salesman, he says so himself, sooner or later people are tired of being abused and I honestly believe he has abused British boxing fans for far too long.
Traitor Snake. 'I care about Dave Allen, I just threw him in short notice with Ortiz for peanuts'. Liar. 'AJ is a great guy and role model, we covered up that Eddie Chambers thing nicely'. Corrupt. 'Here's a rematch clause for Whyte Povetkin eliminator in case Whyte loses'. Hypocrite. 'Won't stand for drug cheats. Hi Whyte, Ortiz, and my new best bud Canelo.' And so much more where that came from. Hearn is smart, ambitious and has looks and charm. He therefore gets away with a lot and fools a lot of people. If he lived in an old Saxon society, he'd be in a hell of a lot of trouble.
cos this is his lad and might climb up in rankings without having 1 lad from top 100 with a pulse. LOL. Yeah, this is cool reality. I had not mind if lad fought vs lads with records like he does have or even like 5-5 boxers. Not a 0-10 boxing bag and then 0-4 walking bag for ppv event undercard. Holy God.
I don't like any promoter and don't think anyone should care about them greatly either. I see a lot of Hearn fanboys more so than haters. Every promoter has haters though, it's the one with fanboys I laugh at, their fanboys are just pathetic and so easy to rile up. Hearn has not been putting on better shows than Arum or Haymon in a while too, his undercards are the weakest around of the big card promoters. He's not doing a particularly better job than anyone less, this nonsense narrative came from his fanboys parading their stupid takes on twitter (such as them claiming Canelo is a full time Hearn fighter when he's literally going to be fighting with PBC instead next time out and has no contract with anyone currently).
Idk man, Whyte and Chisora are bigger PPV fighters than Crawford yet they have 1/5 of his talent. He is very good at his job though, every promoter is two faced and cares about money only but Hearn is the most likeable and the one who is most passionate about the sport, most promoters just care about money while Hearn seems to also care about boxing, he could have sat down ans lived off his Dads money, yet he decided to venture into promoting and worked hard to get where he is
Yes because Fury is a bum. Also Hearn has already stated if the Fury fight falls through he'll negotiate with Usyk
There's a vocal minority that hate him for a few reasons but to say everyone hates him is clearly not true. 1 - He's a boxing promoter, which given the history of the sport with countless shady promoters automatically means he's to be distrusted. Though to be fair to him I've yet to hear any of his fighters accuse him of screwing them over compared to say Warren who seems to have had every big fighter he's ever handled sue him and one likely tried to kill him. 2 - He's successful. Fact is there a part of the British mindset which just loves to tear down people who do well. We tend to love the underdog and despise the successful over achiever. He's called cocky, smarmy, arrogant etc but then he's a very successful multi-millionaire who right now is number 1 in his chosen profession, he's got plenty to be smug about. 3 - A tendency to recycle a fighter over and over again, force feeding him to the public and quite often making the fans pay for it on PPV. But then we fans keep paying for it so you have to wonder who's to blame, him for putting it on PPV or the fans for shelling out the cash time and again for PPV's we keep complaining about not being PPV worthy. 4 - Sometimes throwing a fighter to the wolves for a quick buck, like Brook vs Golovkin. He sometimes takes huge risks with his fighters, throwing them in the deep end to see if they swim or drown. But between his sometimes overly risky match making or a promoter like Warren who over protects a fighter and stifles their progress like Dubois I'd rather have Hearn's approach.
I like the way he handles the post-fight interviews. I love them. The normal post fight interviews, in the ring, with all the noise, the fighters not paying attention actually, the people all around.... annoying, they dont really bring a lot to the table. Hearn's interviews, with the figther and his trainer, more calmed, less noisy, with everybody paying attention and saying meningful things are awesome. Maybe it's him (hearn) who is not needed there, and maybe it should be only the journalists, the fighter and the trainer there. But well, even with hearn trying to get some attention in the interviews I consider this way of making post-fight inverviews a very good idea.
I don’t mind Hearn at all. Wouldn’t trust him, but is a born salesman and doesn’t take himself too seriously.
