Usyk being lowballed with offers from Rematch Eddie / Team AJ - do they want USYK smoke?

Here we go again. Why are Joshua fight negotiations always so tedious?

 

It's nothing to do with people "not wanting smoke" or whatever - it's just how negotiations work. They'll start at a low figure, Usyk will state his ideal figure in response, they'll probably settle somewhere in the middle. It's very unexciting.

 

Usyk is entitled to get 25% of the purse as mandatory challenger. It doesn't matter where the fight is held. The Saudi's can't change the percentage.
Where did this deluded theory come from?

 

Well blame the WBO for that. It has nothing to do with Eddie Hearn. Usyk can object to the fight being held in Saudi

 

The fact of the matter is Joshua is a much more popular attraction than most fighters around these days.

Only Canelo is as big as Joshua these days. Joshua gets more money because he bring in the views.

Joshua has filled 90k seater stadiums, compared than to Fury and Wilder who could barely fill 20k stadiums.

You can't expect to make as much as a person who's bringing in way more attention and therefore more business than you.

Joshua is the most marketable fighter in the world right now.

 

Ruiz never made that much money before. Joshua brings the cash with him.

I wouldnt mind fighting Joshua for 10 million, even if his purse was a billion.

 

In the UK and Nigeria yes. I don’t think he’s cracked America really which Canelo has.

I think they have done a really good job of marketing him in the UK though. He obviously looks the part but he’s genuinely quite a boring man so credit to them for that.

Different thing are these clauses, for example, they might be one sided or dual side clauses for rematches and also clauses might be not only about rematches.

For example they told that Whyte vs Povetkin is eliminator fight.
In eliminator usually rematch is done if: A. Fight was No Contest B. Fight was a DRAW.

When Whyte get KOed, Eddie told that they does have rematch clause.

I don't care, they might sign what clauses they wish until this is called as eliminator fight.

 

So you literally have zero facts and have just wasted 10 minutes in writing this crap

 

That doesn't say anything about splitting the PPV take, nor a site fee, nor parking, food, merchandise.
It's up to Usyks team to grab as much of those items as possible.
