He did great against thurman it was a great win.
But because like I said in a previous thread he's getting in the way of fights being made from 140-147 because he's the biggest payday for any fighter at those weights. Fighters will hold out and stop fighting to hope for a chance to fight him instead of the other younger fighters. I prefer him to fight lesser fighters or guys like Danny garcia who are on their way out if he wants to stick around.

 

Pac was a champ in 4 different decades. I mean, just think about that.

Most times lineal champion.

Oldest welterweight champion ever.

Came from flyweight.

 

What’s more impressive in terms of GOAT status, what Pac has done or what Armstrong did?

 

Spence is basic. Very good, but basic. Pac's become a professor of boxing. Spence is not outboxing Pac. Spence loses if he doesn't bring a war and make Pac feel old.

 

If I might interject and answer, this question remains something of a paradox for me.

While I am increasingly sympathetic to the argument that Pac's truly remarkable body of work warrants a higher ranking on historical lists, in my bones I still believe Mayweather is the more gifted fighter.

 

I mean that isn't an unfair argument but SRR had more losses if we got that metric. I also feel you don't include defying the odds and pulling massive upsets too much into considerations.

For me Pac is top 5 ATG, top 10 at worst. Floyd is also prob top 10 ATG.

I actually agree. But when all things are taken into consideration, Pac is the greater fighter imo. For example Tyson is more gifted, but Frazier is greater.

 

I respectfully disagree neither fighter is a top 10 atg. Those guys have loses but they fought much more regularly. If pbf and pac that regularly they would have more loses to.
