Yes, fighting the BEST HEAVYWEIGHT ON THE PLANET does nothing ... when arguing quality of opposition. Why fight the best in the whole world over and over when you can just fight Chazz Witherspoon and Mike Wilson. YOU lost. Goodnight.
This is really, really basic logic. Getting schooled twice by someone only proves what his level IS NOT. Wilders level lies somewhere between his best wins and the guy who's proven he's levels above him. Just getting in the ring with Fury doesn't make Wilder a fighter on Fury's level. I presume you'll be wanting to claim Chisora is actually better than Wilder next, because he's also fought Fury twice, AND fought Vitali? After all, by your faulty reasoning it doesn't matter if he lost those fights.
Honestly in a shootout I would fancy David Price to beat him. As unlikely as it sounds I think that style of fight totally suits someone who likes to stand toe to toe like Price
Deontay Wilder floored Tyson Fury twice and SUCCESSFULLY DEFENDED HIS WBC HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE AGAINST HIM. Let me repeat, since clearly it never sunk in even though it was three years ago, Deontay Wilder made a successful heavyweight title defense against Tyson Fury. He didn't JUST GET IN THE RING WITH HIM, he floored him twice, made a successful defense against Fury ... made two more successful title defenses after that ... Before he defended against Fury A SECOND TIME last year ... and lost (for the only time in his career). Now they are fighting a THIRD TIME this summer. If Wilder wins fight 3, they will be 1-1-1. I have no idea how on earth in your mind you think DEFENDING THE TITLE TWICE against Tyson Fury and CHALLENGING Tyson Fury for the World Title is a negative on Wilder's career. Fighting the best for the world title is not a negative on your career. You complain about his record. I say he's fighting the best over and over. You say fighting the best is bad and doesn't help his career. LOL At this point, you're just trolling me. If Joshua fought Fury for the World title THREE TIMES, floored him twice, drew with him and successfully defended his belts against Fury in fight one, lost by stoppage in fight 2 and was preparing to fight him a third time ... would you consider those negatives on his record? Of course not. You are a troll. I don't converse with them. Bye, Bubbles.
Look you don't get world titles for free most of the time. Although Wilder isn't conventionally a great boxer he can still deliver a great punch. He's been well matched through his career and I think he will still give a better account of himself in the third fight than the second, that being said only a fool would put Wilder ahead based on what we have seen. Improved and humbled maybe, masterful boxer maybe not.
Only a blinkered fanboi sees that first fight as anything other than a shameless robbery... But that's been you to a tee, so that's hardly surprising. Enjoy your delusions, and your evening.
And he's going to get his ass kicked again. Otto Wallin went the distance with an agressive Fury, Wilder did not. That doesn't mean Wallin is better now does it ? If Wilder gave Fury a very competitive fight or beat him then it would mean something but he never did. Fury EASILY outboxed him in the first fight apart from the 2 knockdowns and that was a 60% Fury coming off of a 3 year layoff. Fury himself claimed that was one of his easiest fights. In the second fight Wilder was dominated and got TKO'D
We will have to agree to disagree on the quit. BJS was called a quitter by most of the forum after having part of his skull detached and being pulled out by his corner. AJ on the 4th knock down against Ruiz Jr didn't even get hit to be honest, he looked for the canvas, watch it again, the 4th KD was extremely questionable, he came under pressure and took a knee. AJ then spat out his gumshield, maybe to buy time maybe it was a signal he was done, in opinion he didn't want any more. AJ then stood up and walked to a neutral corner, he then just stood there, no hands up, no offering his gloves to be wiped, he just nodded at the referee, the referee motions and directs him to walk forward and AJ actually leans back in the ropes, arms resting over the corner ropes. The referee again tells AJ with him to come forward and AJ just stands there, and the referee has no option but to call it off. That to me was a fighter who didn't want any more, he wasn't pulled out by his corner, a towel didn't come over the ropes from the corner. The referee didn't wave him off after the 4th knockdown, the referee gave him every chance, also gave AJ a lot of time to get himself together and continue and AJ didn't want to. To me that's a quit, I can't see it any other way.
But that's a totally subjective opinion that many might take issue with. Tyson Fury's reputation outside the Wilder fights is based on a win over a faded Klitschko who looked unimpressive in his prior fight. He doesn't have a deep resume. It's certainly unclear whether he is better than Jalolov, Joshua, Hrgovic, Makhmudov, etc. If Fury got in the ring and beat some of the young prospects he would have a much stronger case but he hasn't.
Because Joe Frazier didn't duck powerful punchers and Smokin actually beat quality opposition. Which is something Wilder hasn't done yet in his career.
Debatable that Fury is the best HW as I am not convinced he anywhere near the level he was pre-retirement. Fury hasn't beaten a quality HW is over 5 years since Wlad. So I want to see Fury fight someone like AJ, Hunter, Parker, Whyte etc before we put him up there. Also Wilder only picked Fury as he looked so poor and out of shape in his first 2 come back fights (as well as being known for lacking punching power and being channel by a CW and journeyman). Wilder himself stated Fury didn't deserve the title shot and he could of earn more money against AJ. John Fury stated that thought any HW worth their slat would had beaten Fury at the time considering the condition he was in. In their second fight Wilder had no choice and was demanded to fight by the WBC.
Wouldn't be hard to knock out everyone Wilder has beaten? Not exactly a high standard of opposition? No powerful punchers, no skilled movers, no guys known durability, none of quicker handed guys in the divison. I'd certainly favour to KO the likes of Spzilka, Ortiz Washington and Malik Scott. Okolie already has beaten a better quality opponent than Wilder has done in his career.
One of the things this thread proves Is that Fury himself may not be the impregnable force that he is painted as And that AJ has the best resume of any of these guys.....
Are you ****ing dense? I didn't say for a second that I think Okolie wins. I said it's arguable, which it is - no matter how much you want to protect your man crush. Briedis beating Wilder is extremely probable and Hunter beating him isn't far fetched either. Your hero is a fraud.
