All these youtubers boxing (KSI, Paul brothers), TikTokers boxing, strong men like The Mountain and Eddie Hall boxing.. These guys are bringing so many new eyes to the sport from different backgrounds and younger age groups.

We now have a legitmate heavyweight scene for the first time since the 90s, and superstars like Canelo. These guys will reap the benefits.

    Nah
UFC is a hell of an organization.

    boxing is splintered & broken.
Maybe once Arum & Oscar are finally gone & it does seem that they are on their way out.

the PBC sometimes makes some decent fights. & the closest thing to a “league” that boxing has ever seen.

However they still don’t force their fighters to fight, they leave it up to the fighter.

So “we shall see ...” said the blind man.

With our best 2 welterweights not unifying? With only a longshot at HW? Probably not.

    Not likely.
They there will be both. A lot of fans love to see kicks, submissions and so on.
There also is thing that mega fights with champs from different orgs are rare thing, also a lot of boring, too predictable cards.

For example fight like Crawford vs Spence Jr might had put some life in this division. Nope, this did not had happened. All they are talking about Pacman.
    Should I continue?
A lot of things why boxing is more and more boring. Pro boxing.

    Nah I dont think so.

The circus acts are making news, but the boxing landscape is at one of its bleakest points since Ive been a fan. Hard to really get sucked into a sport that has been managing itself as badly as boxing has been the last 5 years.

I dont expect to see a significant change in boxings popularity.

Boxing had its ups and downs since the nineties but it might be at its lowest ever right now.

MMA was a lame fad for ex-WWE fans. Comparing boxing to that garbage is laughable!

Negative. As long as the UFC monopolize having the best fighters in MMA they’ll always one up boxing. There’s no marination process they get straight to the fights fans want. Errol Spence and Crawford would have fought twice right now is this was UFC.

No chance lol boxing is on its knees. Boxing is all politics and the “fans” love it, the fact you get some celebrating the fact the best fights don’t happen really says it all. It’s why these circus fights happen, they’re popular because of the people - nothing to do with boxing itself.

It's all fun and games until someone's roadkill. The same will happen with space travels of Musk imo.

    UFC is a global company
& mma is a global combat sport.

Over all The UFC consistently puts on better cards with the best mma fighters constantly fighting each other.

it has achieved steady growth & consistent success.

At its best boxing would be Tyson Fury Vs AJ for Unification at Heavy Weight.

Then No UFC or any other combat sport league would be able to match those numbers.

but we don’t have that now do we?

maybe hopefully down the road ... sound familiar?

that is the problem with the great sport of boxing.

No way! YouTuber a are a sideshow and will only help grow the popularity of more YouTube fights. Boxing will not grow until the alphabet soup organizations are reeled in and the best fighters fight the best fighters. Too many cherry pickers and duckers.

Popular guys like Crawford and Spence don’t seem to want to face each other. Young guns like Teo would rather fight bums instead of the younger up and coming stars or rematch Loma. This would never happen in UFC where it’s impossible for guys to duck other fighters. Also too many crap PPV cards in boxing these days. Hope that changes. Until it does, boxing will continue to decline.

No. the best fighters don't fight each other, and the face of the sport is a mediocre Mayweather victim.

Now, in addition to screwjobs, title proliferation, and weightclass proliferation, we can add rematch clauses to the things killing the sport.

Boxing is losing fans even as I type this.
