He gave JCR as much time to recover as he could. He came to The Tuscaloser's rescue a couple of times against Fury too. Stopping the action to warn Fury when The Tuscaloser was hurt, not calling the second KD in round 3 when The Tuscaloser bear hugged Fury and as he was hurtling to the canvas, and he looked mortified when he had to call the first KD.

yeah he's dirty but he's a fantastic fighter. I noticed early on he was driving his right shoulder into Ramirez's jaw when looking to tie up

    It nearly was.

All three judges had it 6 -6 in rounds.

Taylor was clearly the better fighter in there. His constant holding annoyed the ish out of me, but he made that work too, by scoring the 2nd KD. A clear and deserved win. The cream o’ the crop at 140.

Six rounds for Ramirez is absurd.

To give Jose five, in fact, is a bit generous.

Nevertheless the better man tonight won (I had it 116-110 ).

The Ring has Spence at 5. Taylor should categorically be ranked above him.

He took a point off Fury, which was incredibly harsh

Great achievement for Taylor to be undisputed lww champ but bud at 147 is a completely different level. Taylor has a chance but I think Bud will be too good for him.

Eh, no. You can point to @CST80's well-known fondness for Taylor and dismiss his scorecard if you want, but that doesn't account for it checking out against mine - and while I like Taylor just fine, that's no more than I like Ramírez. About equal for me, had no dog in this race, may the best man win. Ramírez impressed the hell outta me with his effort and heart and, in the first third of the fight, his skill at effectively pressuring an elite counter-puncher. Fact is, though, of the rounds that neither CST80 nor I gave him, the only real candidates to shift his way are the 1st, the 4th, and maybe tenth. We're still talking 8-4 in rounds for Taylor plus a couple of knockdowns. Find another random not-all-that-particularly-close round to pull another for Ramírez from your ass, fine, 7-5 plus two knockdowns, aka SOG's card of 115-111. You have to fabricate two rounds for Ramírez from whole cloth to reach 114-112.

Purely for makeing the fight with Ramirez whilst Spence couldn't make Crawford.

Both Spence and Crawford get penalised in my rankings for not fighting each other.
